Decent place in Neuchatel. Location is convienent right across the street from the train station. Often in Europe that's a bad sign, but not so hear. Neuchatel is a sleepy smallish Swiss city so there doesn't appear to be a seedy part of town.

Rooms are average sized for Europe. Bed and bathroom also average (not in a bad way). Staff are friendly. I had a lake view which was beautiful. Prices are decent for Switzerland (which means high for anywhere else).

There is a restaurant with a wonderful patio in the hotel that is pretty good. Also reasonable prices for Switzerland. I will stay again when I am in town.

Wifi is free and actually pretty fast for the Swiss!

Room Tip: lake view is wonderful.

If you want to treat yourself to a room with a view this is the place to do it. The hotel is up on the hill with fantastic views of the lakes and the alpes . You can see for miles. The hotel is just opposite the railway station which made it very easy to explore the area using the excellent public transport. The room was large and comfortable. Breakfast cost 15sfr a person and was well worth the money. The staff were very friendly and helpful. If you dont want to walk back up the steep hill after visiting the town take the funicular which stops just inside the railway station.

Room Tip: One with a lake view

first of all I have to mention that the hotel has renovation now(( so the smell of paint and no so clean everywhere. BUT the hotel stuff was very helpful and nice. the hotel has a restaurant on the first floor and the terrace with sunning view to the lake and city Neuchatel. the hotel is located near to the train station, but it is not so bad: the foodstote is open 24 hours) t0 the lake and city center you can walk (15 min) or take a funicular train (2 min). the city itself is very very picturesque

Room Tip: the room with lake view is definitely bigger with more light and really amazing view

Lovely lake-view room, spacious, clean and comfortable. Super bath! Breakfast satisfactory. Helpful and pleasant staff. Location across the road from the station (but without the accompanying noise) could not be improved upon. My wife and I were made to feel very welcome.

Room Tip: Ask for lake view

Stayed here with my daughter in July on our Motorcycle whistlestop tour of Europe. Excellent hotel in every way. Room was huge, Juliet balcony overlooking the Lake (at a distance) spotless place, excellent food with varied menu, Dinner late on the terrace, can't fault the occasion or the hotel!

Room Tip: Can't vouch for the other rooms, ours was great overlooking the lake on 2nd floor. West facing rooms may hear trains but we certainly didn't
