This is my third visit to this restaurant; previous occasions have been for lunch where the menu choice is limited to a smaller number of dishes so I was looking forward to experiencing the slightly more extensive evening menu; well described in another review of the restaurant on this site. I had heard good reports of the quality of the food on the evening menu and I am pleased to say that our party of 6 was not disappointed. All the starters, main courses, cheese and desserts were excellent accompanied by well regarded Chambleau wines. Service was very good. Restaurant starts to 'close down' as kitchen staff leave around 10.30pm but we were not hassled to leave until we were ready to go.

I've heard lots of good critics about this new restaurant, so I went there to check it out this week.

The menu is small, about 5 entrées, 5 main dishes (2 with fish, 2 with meat and 1 vegetarian) and 4 desserts. Place is small to medium size with an open kitchen. It has a left and right wing/side (looking from the entry of the restaurant) and about 10 small tables for 2 people. There are big windows looking at the small street and is placed in a quiet quartier of a city of Neuchatel. Parking is easy there is plenty of blue zone places around, otherwise you can park on the other side of the main road, next to the lake in quartier Beaux-Arts or Jeunes Rives.

Service was impeccable and when inquiring about the food, the chef himself came to my table to give some extra info. For starters they offer amuse-bouche and when I pointed out I am not eating meat they offered me a vegetarian version.

I had a salad as an entry: Salade mesclun aux graines de tournesol et amandes torréfiés,
copeaux de légumes et vinaigrette au balsamique blanc - turns out it huge, but nicely presented. For my personal taste a bit too much of a green salad and to little the extra touch of grains and veggies.

As a main entry I went for a fish halibut, since I never tasted it: Pavé de flétan doré au beurre noisette, bisque de crevettes parfumées au rhum de Martinique,
côtes et verts de blette en deux cuissons, purée onctueuse de pommes de terre
montée à l’huile d’olives extra-vierge de Tunisie. The fish itself was delicious, but my only critique was it was a bit too salted. But this varies on a personal taste.

Overall I liked the atmosphere, the food and location and I will surely go back.
