A friend recommended this restaurant for eating out on a summer night - the balcony gives you a view over the little square and lets you share in the evening´s activities of the Neuchâtel jeunesse. However the tables and chairs have seen better days, even if the prices have been brought up to date.
You can eat a selection of Italian standards, from pizza (CHF 16-18) through to fish and BBQ (CHF 25-35) and there´s reasonably priced open wine to go with it. My dinner guest´s order was delivered wrong, and there was a little fight amongst waiting staff about whose fault it was - but everything turned out fine. But you could see that most of the veg had been microwaved, not prepared, and the sauces for the meat were .... well words escape me. I should have gone for the pizza.
With plenty of alternatives (at ground level) for eating al fresco in Neuchátel, this particular location isn´t a must on my personal list.
