We went to the ground for St Gallen v Swansea in the Europa League. The ground itself is modern but the atmosphere is like revisiting the worst of the 1980s in Britain. The away support is penned into a fenced off and netted area where the seats were disgustingly filthy obliging everybody to stand. The whole area is liberally covered in offensive graffiti perhaps as a consequence of the section being compeltely unstewarded other than the riot police searching you on the way in.
The game was attended by a cohort of Riot Police whose presence appears to be necessary for visting supporters to attend without being attacked by the local "Ultras"
