We enjoyed our stay in this wonderful palace a lot, the staff is lovely and very helpful - always with a smile ;-) the rooms are perfectly furnished and equipped, very luxurious but without being kitschy.

We stayed at the Gstaad Palace as part of the Roy Emerson tennis program, which if you're a tennis fan you shouldn't miss. This property is absolutely divine. Grounds are exceptionally maintained. The renovated spa is the nicest I've experienced in the world with very impressive attention to detail and delightful spa staff. The view from our room was breathtaking and I simply couldn't get enough time on the balcony to gaze at the mountains. Rooms are updated, comfortable, and decorated in keeping with the Swiss countryside. The staff were extremely helpful and consistently customer-oriented. Our dining experiences were really enjoyable and everything we tried was well-prepared and presented. Save room for the soufflé --- fantastic!

The only caution I can offer about this location is that you'll be sharing the hotel with a few guests with what I would call 'attitude'. For example, we had to endure a conversation at the next table one evening of a woman loudly complaining to the server and then the manager that the server had used the wrong technique to cut her cheese from the cheese cart -- no kidding. The staff handled this particular and other similar situations beautifully. You'll simply have to be prepared to 'look past' a handful of individuals who are rather self-important.

Beautiful location, great rooms with a view, helpful staff, and a fantastic spa --- overall, a world-class destination.

Room Tip: Select a room with the mountain view --- it's spectacular

I stayed at the Gstaad Palace for week 1 of the Roy Emerson tennis weeks. This is a week of intensive coaching in the luxury of this impressive hotel. This was the 40th year of the tennis weeks, which has given plenty of time to perfect it, and everything really was perfect. The hotel is very high quality, with friendly helpful staff, keen to assist with any needs - a first aid kit after a fall on the courts as an example! The location is fantastic but you do need some fitness to walk in and out of town.
The tennis coaching itself was superb, delivered by extremely professional coaches at a maximum of 1-3 basis.
If I could fault anything, it might be the cost of bar drinks!

From the moment you walk through the door you are greeted by anyone that is in the lobby. Even if there's a member of staff from the kitchen they stop and say "bonjour". The hotel is extremely well kept, the staff is courteous - even when they're dealing with guests I would consider "difficult". On our first night they surprised us when we came back after the turn down service with a bottle of champagne and a lovely candle as a gift since we were celebrating our wedding.

The bed was really comfortable and the view from our room was breathtaking - it was such a treat to wake up to. While neither my husband nor myself elected in a spa treatment, we still enjoyed the gym, the indoor/outdoor whirlpool, steam and sauna rooms. It's the perfect place to unwind after you go on a hike.

The concierge were always ready and eager to assist us in planning our day whether we were looking for somewhere in town to eat or wanting help to figure out a good hiking trail.

Breakfast was wonderful. They have a full selection of cheeses and also offer gluten free bread and cereal for anyone with wheat allergies. They only have scrambled eggs prepared, but will come ask if you care for fried or boiled eggs or an omelet. The juice is freshly squeezed and the coffee is divine.

I would highly recommend the hotel and hope we get the chance to go back in the winter. Thank you for a wonderful stay Gstaad Palace!

Room Tip: We had a deluxe room with a view and it was wonderful - very spacious.

Arrived on the 3rd September and as always was incredibly impressed by the hotel and in particular the staff. The service is fantastic and so personal. This was our first stay during the summer season but can really recommend it. Thank you in particular to Anita in reservations for your help!

from the moment you walk in this hotel, you will fall in love! truly a palace...
I went there on a ski vacation for 5 nights and wish i could've stayed more. the welcoming smiles of the receptionists, the eagerness to help from the concierge, the exquisiteness of the spa and the deliciousness of the food and the cleanliness of the housekeeping just made our stay extra special.
I have been to a couple of hotels in the area but nothing is nearly as luxurious as the palace.

however, the shuttle service to ski areas should have more hours, its a bit uneasy that the shuttle goes to ski area only once at 9:30 in the morning, more times would be very helpful.

Thank you for making our stay extra special

complicated to find something to say about this hotel , everything is just perfect !
from the reception , to restaurant , bar , room service and housekeeping ...top !
by no chance , I had a rooms on a corner of the hotel , floor 4 , with no bath tube , just a shower .
the hotel was overbook and they found a room at the last moment .
even this room was perfect , with an amazing view on the mountain .
room service , they deliver the breakfeast in less than 15 mn ! a miracle .
the only point is the restaurant were you can eat fondue and raclette , try the fondue with black truffles , marvellous , the only negative point is that you have to go wash your hair after , they smell cheese !
really the place to go , winter and summer time .
however the ski in Gstaad is a jooke . so better to go to les Diablerets , 15 km from gstaad .
