“Vegan/Vegetarian Heaven”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 October 2013 via mobile

As a local, and an American, who grew up on all Asian food, including eating Chinese every Sunday with my family in California (It was a ritual), I can say, I continue the tradition here most Sundays. This restaurant is hugely satisfying, even for a vegan like myself. I generally enjoy the same dishes time and time again - Hot and sour soup without the 'animal' stock, mixed veg/shitake with extra ginger, garlic and spicy red pepper, sweet and sour veg, with or without tofu, and brocolli with pine nuts. The chef will add or subtract spices, garlic and ginger according to taste....They are hugely accomodating! One just need ask. The food is prepared in an open kitchen and could not be any fresher. The atmosphere is cozy, relaxed and unpretentious. Definitely a positive, and welcome addition to the area!

“Yummy”

Love the athmosphere and the Food. There are two seatings during Christmas/New Years period but enough time is allowed for a pleasant dinner. Love the fried Rice, crispy duck, Lemon chicken etc.

“Dull Tastes”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 May 2013

This restaurant serves the most tasteless overpriced food in a very loud environment.
The two waitresses YELL at one another constantly.
The chef who can be viewed puts pretty much the same ingredients into everything.
Very little flavor here and they have never heard of spicy. Can't wait to get back to Mr Kong in London where each dish has a flavor of it's own and the prices are normal/

“If you haven't been in a while, try this place again”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 January 2013 via mobile

A few months back, Blun Chi picked up the chef of the Chinese restaurant at La Réserve in Geneva. And since then Blun Chi is every bit as good as La Réserve used to be. Many of the classics are every bit as good as you'll eat in Chinatown in London, the service is friendly (especially if you go often enough to be recognised), and the ambiance is a curious but successful mix of "sino-alpine-chic". If going for lunch, skip the daily menu and stay à la carte, which tends to taste fresher than the probably hi-volume prep of the daily specials. Normal prices (for Gstaad) mean a thoroughly satisfying experience, especially if you've been away from the Chinatowns for a while.

“Chinatown meets Gstaad”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 October 2012

The Blun Chi is a delightful, intimate restaurant serving very good Chinese cuisine. It has a pleasant , relaxed ambience. The menu offers interesting choices of meat, fish and vegetable dishes which are prepared in a small, on view kitchen. The chef has all his ingredients to hand and stir fries as the orders are made. This evening we chose no starters but enjoyed pak choi with garlic, satay beef which was delicately flavoured, honey duck, a house speciality- duck breast, skin crispy in the most moreish honey sauce- so good with rice and Szechuan prawns. A really good meal.
