We stayed at the Parkhotel Schoenegg for 6 nights in early July. There were 6 adults in our party, and we enjoyed every minute of our stay at this wonderful hotel in Grindelwald. The location is excellent, with sweeping views of the surrounding mountains, countryside, town, and close proximity to the train station, shops, restaurants, bars, and the Grindelwald First lift. The owner, Thomas, and his staff are exceptional. Very helpful front desk reception, and the dining room staff are first class. We thoroughly enjoyed our breakfasts and dinners at the hotel. Delicious food and a great variety! The clean rooms and hotel spa are the perfect place to relax after a long day of hiking. I look forward to returning to the Parkhotel Schoenegg in the years to come. You will love it here!

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the magnificent peaks surrounding Grindelwald, including the famous Eiger. It...

I can't say anything bad about this place. We stayed there for 6 nights, and had an amazing time. We went with the option of having dinner and breakfast included, which I would definitely recommend. The food is excellent, and at the end of a long day of hiking, it is nice not to have to worry about going to find a restaurant. The service is friendly and detailed. The owner, Thomas, is very friendly and helpful. He even brought us on a hike with his Border Collie. The spa area is also very relaxing after a long day of adventuring in Grindelwald. The whole building is state of the art... you can tell that the owner has invested quite a bit into the quality of the rooms and facilities. Speaking of the rooms, we had a porch with a view of the Eiger. You seriously cannot beat the views. If you stay here, you will not regret it. After staying for a week, I want to go back and live there!

Room Tip: Definitely worth getting a room facing the mountains!

We stayed at this hotel for four nights at the end of June. It was a family holiday with three grandparents, 10 month old baby and her parents. We would all highly recommend this hotel it should be rated higher than three star. We had first class service from the owner Tom down to every member of his staff. The Spa was wonderful and relaxing, the meals were all excellent. Would most highly recommend staying here if you are visiting Grindelwald also location very good for train station and village.

This hotel with its wonderful restaurant is not to be missed. Nothing is too much trouble for the owners and their team. I have stayed at this hotel many times and it is always a pleasure to return. Each year there are improvements in the building.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a mountain view, although a little more cost, well worth it.

This hotel is family run. The owner and staff are exceptionally attentive. It is well positioned a short walk from the railway station and Firstbahn cable car. It is only a short walk to the lower glacier, the cable cars to Pfinstegg and Mannlichen as well as the bus station. This gives access to innumerable excellent safe walks. The Hotel is comfortable the breakfast is very good and dinner even better. We have been going to the Bernese Oberland for over 50 years and this hotel for over 10 years, These days we fly to Geneva and take the train being picked up by the hotel at Grindelwald Station. We will be going again in 2015 if not 2014. There is an excellent swimming pool. There is also a sauna but nudity is compulsory and I do not like that. I was pleased that the lounge is at last non-smoking

Room Tip: Ask for a mountain view (there will be an extra charge but it is worth it it)

Three of us stayed for two nights at the very end of last fall's season. A real find at a good rate with well trained staff and an excellent kitchen.

An added bonus is that it is a short distance from the hub-bub of the rail station area and just steps from the lift up to First.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the south side for fantastic views of the famous Eiger and many other peaks.

Very friendly and supportive staff, from booking to check in to every part of the staying.
Good restaurant, good breakfast, good location. As a 3 star hotel, they could not do much more, the price is 3,5-4 star level.
Nevertheless good solution, can only reccomend.
