We had two dinners here in our Grindelwald stay during the June 2013 heatwave. Standouts for me were the three grilled meats entree, very nice appetizers and interesting and affordable wine list. I would definitely return next time in Grindelwald. An anecdote to give a sense for the quality and creativity -- a garnish on a beef entree of a waffle cut fried purple potato, homemade and still hot. But just a minor detail so painstakingly prepared. Wonderful. The prix fixe tasting menu was also an excellent option, particularly for dessert enthusiasts. Warm nights offer very pleasant outdoor tables to complement a cozy formal dining room -- either way, a very civilized way to end a day of Alpine hiking.
