We spent 5 nights at Hotel Bodmi and would recommend it highly to anyone who appreciates a quiet environment away from the tourist scene in the village. There's a convenient (super steep!) path from the First station straight up the hill to the hotel (located adjacent to the gondola line - which is ultra-quiet when it operates during the day as well). If you're in shape, exercise your calf muscles and walk up and down and forego the bus (free with the guest card you'll get - which also gives you terrific discounts on local rail lines). There are a multitude of walking paths from the hotel that lead up into the mountains and connect with the extensive trail system. We literally parked the car and never used it during the entire stay. As all the other reviews state, get the south facing room for an amazing picture-perfect view. Wi-fi was flawless if you must check your office email. We ate at the hotel restaurant twice and the food was comparable to other spots in town, both price- and quality-wise. We found the service staff to be extremely nice. The large bottle of in-room mineral water each day was also appreciated.
