Very nice and comfortable hotel. The staff was superfriendly and helpful. Food was good and plenty of choice. Best place in Grindelwald with a beautiful view. Rooms and beds are comfortable. Highly recommended!

I would highly recommend this hotel. We stayed in this hotel for 1 week in February for skiing. Rooms are simple but comfortable and very clean. So is the breakfast, simple but what is offered is good.
very friendly and helpful and accommodating for special requests. Very good value for Grindelwald. From the town centre it is about 15min. walk up the hill. There is a frequent bus service, stop is right in front of the hotel. Bus takes you in 5 min. to FIRST gondola A little further is the train station for trains up to Jungfrau.

Room tip: try to get a room with mountain view - not facing the road

We didn’t stay here but we did eat here. The menu is not extensive but there is plenty of choice. The prices are very reasonable for Switzerland. The food was good home cooking and value did money. The reasonable prices were the attraction for us. However when your eating with such an amazing view the food pales into insignificance

We stayed there for 4 days while we climbed Shwarzhorn, Eiger Trail and First. The hotel is located about 20 min uphill walk from station and buses 121 or 128 (only) come regularly and hotel gives free visitors card to use on buses.

The hotel itself is more like a ski lodge or winter cottage. We had a shared bathroom room facing the Eiger so view was amazing. Room had a bed and sink and toilets and showers were clean.

We had dinner there one night after the 12hr climb and the food (fondue) was good, beers cold and prices reasonable. The breakfast was great, fresh warm bread, jam spread, boiled eggs, cold cuts, coffee, juice, tea, etc. Very happy with it.

There is also a balcony on the top where you can bring your own food from the shops and enjoy an sunset dinner viewing the mountains...also worth doing.

The staff were very friendly, and overall for the price it is worth it when staying in Grindewald.

We stayed for 2 nights in this hotel with 2 kids. Right from entering to the hotel till the final checkout, the owners were very helpful and polite. The best part was the room, on top floor. Wonderful view of Alps from Balcony with chairs to enjoy evening tea. Breakfast was nice if not great. But one can't complain given this is on a mountain top with limited facilities around. It was delicately cleaned and perfect for all of us.

Room tip: Rooms with Alps view. Preferably on top floor.
