“Typically Swiss restaurant”
Reviewed 6 September 2013

Once you accept that eating out in Switzerland is inherently expensive, this restaurant was good value for money. The service was very good too.
The atmosphere is cosy and welcoming, with an Alpine feel. They had a good menu, and especially a good children's menu, which can be hard to find.
We opted for a traditional fondue, which was delicious, and two portions were ample for 3 people. I would recommend this place.

“Great value for money for Swiss standards”
Reviewed 13 August 2013

I probably had the cheapest dish on the menu: the hamburger with homemade "Eiger Frites". It was delicious. With a drink and dessert, I only paid 30 Francs. That's an incredible deal for Swiss standards and I enjoyed my meal very much. Especially the homemade fries were excellent. My neighbour was eating a burrito, it looked excellent.
The atmosphere is nice, a current-day bar with a slight touch of old Swiss chalets. I found the staff to be extremely energetic and kind. Noticeable is that they receive many Japanese customers. In response, the restaurant offers a Japanese menu and I overheard the staff reply in simple Japanese from time to time.
Also great for solo customers, there is plenty of room at the bar to eat by yourself.

“Great place for aprés-hike/ski”
Reviewed 4 August 2013

Great choice after a strenuous day of hiking / skiing where you're too exhausted to appreciate fine taste and therefore just want comfort food. The atmosphere is casual, and the service is friendly.

“good place to eat”
Reviewed 5 July 2013

This place was very close to our hotel (Hotel Spinne) so we ate there a few times. Their Horny Chicken (you can't beat a name like that!) was delicious and their burgers were also tasty. Their Black & White dessert is also not to be missed. I wasn't a huge fan of the 'burrito' I had one evening (avocado & tomato), but it's hard to impress someone from Southern California on that front. Be aware that the listing of $3-9 for price range on this site isn't accurate at all--you'll easily spend $10-20 per person for a dinner, if not more. But they have good deals throughout the week where they'll knock the prices down on one particular type of food (e.g. "Burger Night").
