This was our third visit at Victoria Jungfrau. We love the mix between old style grand hotel and modern interieur. Especially the entrance, the bar, the italian restaurant and the spa has been beautiful modernized while other salons still have the old world charme. The rooms throughout the hotel are very different and renovated in different areas. The rooms (apart from the duplex suite with great bathroom) are a bit old fashioned. We stayed this time in a suite, nr. 115 with a nice terrasse with mountain view. Next time, I would go for the duplex suite again for the bathroom and room style. The spa has added lately different steam rooms and relaxing areas and looks beautiful.
Get a room with mountain view, it's worth the money. For a day trip go to the "Trümmelbachfälle", about 1 hour from the hotel. Would stay at this hotel again.

Room Tip: get a room with mountain view

Very impressed by this beautiful old hotel. The building is kept immaculate and the service is nothing but top notch. Also notable is that the work out facility is very nice with ample equipment. The breakfast buffet is truly impressive and is very well done and tasty. Food in other restaurants also excellent. Hotel is very convenient to walk to many restaurants. Rooms are spacious and bathrooms are perfect.

Room Tip: My room was in the older part and had a huge closet and walk out deck.

This hotel is near perfect but at a cost of 1000 CHF per night, I was lucky enough to stay here on business for one nights and pleasure the second night.

I loved the hotel, The Victoria Jungfrau is undoubtedly one of the best hotels to stay in Jungfrau Interlaken. The hotel has a grand entrance and huge foyer as you walk in, with beautiful marble floors and old Victorian design.

I stayed in one of the superior double rooms and the bed was huge, big and comfy. The rooms are painted in a neutral relaxing french green, with all the mod cons you need. There was fresh fruit in the room and great view of the mountains.

The only fault was the restaurant, maybe because I arrived late and lunch time was over, but I decided to go to one of the restaurants that was still serving food (I think it was an Italian Restaurant in the Hotel) and the hotel staff where rude, took them ages just to give me a menu and when they did they didn't even offer to take my drink order, I decided to leave the restaurant and order roo service instead. In my room I ordered a club sandwich which was fine and what you'd expect from room service food.

After dinner (not in the hotel) I spent some time in the piano bar and cigar room which was lovely end to the evening (see my pictures). Good drinks, great service and friendly staff.

On the second evening I decided to visit the spa which is very nice indeed, I definitely recommend treatments in the spa. Treatments where perfect, great service again and beautiful spa and good decent products used.

Breakfast was in a large old victorian style room - very good hot/ cold buffet served with fresh juice and champagne.

I would definitely like to visit again, maybe on a special occasion.

We stayed here for 2 nights with our 3 children aged 2, 5 & 9. From the moment we arrived we were treated like royalty - we were 2 hours early and they found us a room and at check-in the kids got a little goody bag with some very cute baby-slippers. The staff also left coke and popcorn in the room while we walked around Interlaken. There's always an element of stress travelling with young children, particulalry to nice hotels, but all the staff were extremely courteous and made us feel very welcome. Interlaken itself is beautiful and the hotel was very easy to get to. The pool was excellent, especially the outdoor saltwater pool - it's quite surreal sitting in hot water while the temperature is below freezing, looking up at a snowy peak. The breakfast was also excellent - again with a little corner of the buffet especially for the children. If i had a couple of minor gripes, the first would be that I wish we could have 5 people in a suite instead of interconnecting rooms, but that seems to be common in Switzerland - I presume for fire regulations. The second is that I didn't find the bed very comfortable, especially the pillows - but I know that's a personal thing. Overall, a first-class experience and I would recommend it to anyone travelling with children.

Centrally located, yet quite and picturesque. The views from our room were divine - the Bernese Oberland, the jungfrau, the symmetrical park in front in all its glory.

The hotel is built in a richly ornate Victorian style, yet has all the modern conveniences. The bed, the furnishings, the space is inviting. The internet was reliable and fast in our suite.

Downstairs is a lovely pool, with nature views. Near it is one of the best spas in Switzerland, sensai is its name.

The food is locally sourced, fresh and delicious. The staff is eager to assist.

Outside, near the hotel, are traditional Swiss chalets and restaurants, with numerous streets and trails to browse the Interlaken scenery. The hotel is a convenient luxurious place to enjoy snow shoeing and Grindelwald-First and Murren skiing, then relax.

Room Tip: Upper floors give you spectacular views

We love this hotel and have stayed on many occasions. We have also visited just for lunch and also for afternoon tea around Christmas time. The entrance foyer with its black and white tiled marbled floor is beautiful. Service is overall good. The standard rooms are pristine and fresh fruit and water are always provided in your room on arrival. However for the price, it has to be said they are a bit on the small side and the whilst the bathrooms may be spotlessly clean, the decor is a bit 1980s with browns and avocado colours so ready for a makeover in the not too distant future. The junior suites are much nicer, as you would expect. We have stayed twice in the same junior suite which was absolutely beautiful with parkett flooring and elegant furniture. It also had a large modern white bathroom with huge bath and waterfall style tap. A lovely touch was the 2 boxes of popcorn for our boys in the room when we arrived, along with some drinks, some coca cola cans, chocolates and fruit bowl. We also appreciated the walk in cloakroom and the child size robes and slippers as well as the adult ones. The best thing about this hotel however is the swimming pool and outdoor jacuzzi in the Spa. The pool is olympic size and there was lots of sunbeds around to relax on. It also boasts steam room, sauna, spa cafe, treatment rooms, quiet area and the piece de resistance, the outdoor jacuzzi that it accessed via the indoor pool area. Lazing about in that pool, with view of mountains and paraguilders, inhaling the fresh air is truly heavenly.
Another treat was the beautiful buffet breakfast with everything you could wish for available. Very nice cooked food as well as all manner of cereals, breads, cold meats, cheeses, yogurts, spa smoothies etc to suit every taste. There is even a children's area to cater for the younger guests. As far as restaurants in the hotel go, the traditional swiss restaurant has provided us with two very memorable delicious dinners. Our experience of the more casual italian cafe has been a bit more hit and miss with service average and food average too.
On the whole a beautiful hotel and spa, perfect for treating yourself on a special occasion.

Room Tip: Try to get a view of the Jungfrau. Stunning.
