From the reviews, our group of 8 headed to Pizzeria Horn. Glad we went. The pizzas and calzones were great. All cooked in brick oven. about 15 tables in this spot near the river. Pizza will feed two, so you can share a salad as well. Cost for pizza, salad, two drinks will be under $50.

Not much more to say. Really wanted to love this place. Staff was friendly, nice atmosphere - had all the makings of a great experience. Until our pizza came, love thin crust pizza baked in a brick oven, but this came out with soggy crust and pretty bland. Maybe an off night.

Funny that another reviewer had a hard time finding this place. We walked all around it one night trying to find it and never could, stumbled across the sign the next day and went back.

We were starving after a day spent at Ballenberg open air museum and had read about this place in Lonely Planet. The walk from Interlaken Ost ( which felt very long to tired little feet and hungry stomachs) was well worth it when we reached the Pizzeria Horn.

Warm, welcoming service (they handled a goof-up with the vegetarian Pizza Maison on which ham had been put very gracefully), great food and wine, and a lovely ambience was worth it and made the little ones' crankiness disappear. It was very nice to watch the pizzas being made from scratch and baked in a wood fired oven right behind us.

All in all, a wonderful experience.

My wife and I could not find the restaurant the first night, but on the way home from dinner on the second night we stumbled by the place. As we had heard great reviews, we really wanted to stop by for at least some wine and dessert. When we ordered, the waitress said they don't do that. We were not welcome to just come by and get drinks and dessert if we weren't going to get pizza as well (but that this time they would make an "exception"). Needless to say, that took all the fun out of an otherwise great atmosphere and amazing wine/dessert.
