“Everything was amazing!”
Reviewed 7 July 2014

From the spinach soup to lunches for a day of glacier hiking to the Utrube (think I spelled it right) beer, everything was fresh, homemade and delicious. The service was superb even when World Cup,games were on.

“Best Meal in Switzerland”
Reviewed 6 July 2014

Overall we were disappointed with the food in Switzerland but the Eiger Guesthouse was the best meal we had in Switzerland ... So much that we went back again the next night.

The food was good and was priced fairly (rare in this area).

We had various pasta dishes which were all very good and the wine prices were reasonable.

“Rewarding at end of day”
Reviewed 30 June 2014

I stayed at the Hotel Eiger on a plan that included breakfast and dinner. Would have liked to have tried other restaurants, but Switzerland is very expensive and this way the cost of dinner was pre-paid. The food and service were good if not stellar…two years later (this system won't let me go more than a year back, so I had to lie) what I mostly remember is some very yummy carrot salad served each night, also the best ever weinerschnitzel! After a day of hiking it was wonderful to come back to this comfy hotel, eat a good dinner and retreat to an outdoor table to stare at the mountains over a glass of wine.

“Great breakfasts”
Reviewed 30 June 2014

The breakfasts were wonderful. Lots of different breads, croissants, cereal, yogurt, jams, eggs, meat and cheese. No reason to go hungry here! We also had two dinners here and both were very good.

“It's ok, you eat not bad”
Reviewed 21 June 2014 via mobile

Restaurant is close to the train station. It's rated best in Mürren. I don't know the quality of others in town, but food can be done better. Could be a bit more than three points, but not a four.

Bruschetta was not bad. Tasty because of a generous use if olive oil.

The Rösti was only ok. Nothing special.

Carameli, filled pasta a bit like Ravioli, was the best dish of the evening. But it was a bit cold and could be cooked one or two minutes longer.

Prices are OK.

In conclusion, food is not bad, you pay not too much, but not much more than a good average. You're not disappointed after eating, but you won't remember this restaurant after a few hours or days anymore.
