Super hotel with excellent service. Not only did the owner find us a guide with short notice, they also fix extra early breakfast, late check out. Room with a terrace with a view over the eiger and the other mountains. Don't miss out on the half board, we did first couple of nights...

Very friendly hosts, cute decor, quality furnishings, good food and a lovely location. Stayed here twice within five weeks, it appealed so much! Rooms with balconies facing Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau are especially nice, but some of the others seem more spacious.

Room Tip: If it's a romantic weekend, ask for a room like #27, which has lots of red and hearts in its dec...

We had a room on the ground floor with a little garden sitting area facing the impressive Alp view. Watching sunlight changing from pale amber to beautiful warm orange glow deepen to various shades of red ... It's a speechless feeling!!

Hotel has a large terrace with a breathtaking 180 degrees view. Perfect staffs and wonderful services, they made us felt at home.

Mürren is a tiny town on top of the hill, it's perfect place for late Autumn trip - calm, tranquil, and peaceful. You can take a day trip by train to Wengen or go up to Schilthorn spend a day with James Bond. LOL

We love this little town because it offers that certain feeling which other tourists area doesn't!!

Ruth and Othmar Suter are phenomenal hosts! We were touring Switzerland for our 25th wedding anniversary and this was by and far our best hotel experience, hands down! We stayed in room 1 which was larger than most US hotel rooms and so much cozier. It was immaculate. The breakfasts were incredible as was a dinner we enjoyed in the dining room. The onsite laundry facility was appreciated. No need to bring soap as it is dispensed automatically. If you take the cable car up from Lauterbrunnen and then the small train into Murren, take the LEFT fork on the path as you exit the train station. You will avoid a steep hill to get into the village of Murren. The Hotel Bellevue will be on your right in this sweet car-less village. Check the mountain webcams on the tv before taking a trip up to Schilthorn. Really appreciated this advice from Ruth since it was overcast and very cloudy in Murren, but sunny and gorgeous on Schilthorn. Expensive but worth the trip to the top!

We stayed in the Bellevue over a long October week end, which is in the low season, with many other places closed until mid December. Most worth mentioning was the wonderfully large room situated on the ground floor. There are actually two of these rooms, numbered 1 and 2; try to get these if you can. Other than that, the hotel has a very large nice terrasse with panoramic alpine views, lovely staff, an excellent chef and a breakfast buffet to die for, especially on Sundays. When you travel there, use the Schilthorn Bahn, which is much closer than the railway station on the other end of town.

We spent our 44th wedding anniversary here for 2 nights and had a wonderful time in this special little hotel. The breakfast was wonderful, the room spotless all decorated like a Swiss Chalet and a small little terrace with a spectacular view. It also has a wonderful terrace at the back where you can have a wonderful lunch and view all at the same time. I don't think anyone would be disappointed by staying here.

We loved this hotel! Murren was one of the first stops on our 20th anniversary European trip. We came with another couple. They had a room on the second floor. It seemed their room hadn't been updated and was decorated in an animal print theme. Our was done in a soft Victorian theme. We had a view from the side of the hotel. We shared a balcony with another room and had to go past their window and door to see the full view at the end of the balcony. Our friends' room, however, was at the end of the hallway and had a full view. Their room was a little less expensive than ours which, I think, had to do with the update. They had a towel heater in the bathroom which I loved. The owner of ten years, Ruth, was there at one time or another each day. She was incredibly friendly and hospitable. The food in the hotel restaurant was wonderful. They offer to put it on the room tab but watch out, it adds up. It's easy to spend more than you think each time you dine there. The carrot/pumpkin soup was so yummy, I had it two nights in a row. We tried to get the recipe from Ruth but she guarded her chef's recipe. If anyone can pry it out of her/them, I'd love to have it! :) The breakfast (included in your stay) is incredible and Ruth is right there to make sure you have what you need. I loved this hotel and would recommend it to anyone willing to take a gondola and railcar to get there.

Room Tip: Rooms at the end of the hallways have a better view it seems. We loved our room but shared a balcony...
