We arrived at the Blumental earlier than check-in. They let us leave our bags in the lobby while we did some hiking. We were traveling with 4 adults and 2 little children. The room was in the lovely new chalets at the back of the hotel with a good view of the mountain and the railway up the mountain. They provided a nice little cot for our little girl. Beds are very comfortable. Breakfast has many options - served in a very nice breakfast room. No complaints whatsoever. I highly recommend this hotel.

My husband and I began our 3 week honeymoon in Europe here at the Blumental. The owners were very hospitable; we had to depart very early one morning, and they had set up a private breakfast for us since we were going to miss the normal time. The rooms were nice, some had been newly renovated. The adjoining restaurant was delicious, we ate there almost every night. We loved murren and the Bluemental so much, we actually rearranged the last few days of our trip to go back and finish our honeymoon where we started from. The owners were very nice, and very accommodating. We can't wait until we can stay here again!

beautiful place to stay high up in e mountains. Lotsa food options in the hotel and down the street as well so no need to worry about starving.

We stayed at the chalet and the room was cosy and modern. With a nice balcony with stunning views of e mountain. Most accommodation in jungfrau area have no air con so I wiuld recommend staying on a cooler side like murren vs grindelwald which is sunny n too warm in june.

Wow! I stayed with my wife and 3 kids summer 2012. This hotel was an excellent choice for an amazing stay at the storybook town of Murren. Upon check-in we arrived late and exhausted after a busy day. Ralph, the owner, greeted us with a smile, carried our luggage to our rooms and asked us if we were hungry even though the restaurant was closed. He served us a cheese fondue that I will never forget. That hotel has the classic swiss charm and our balcony had an amazing view of the mountains and overlooked the main road which is very charming. Its location is perfectly in the center of town across from a supermarket and near the gondola. After a great breakfast at the hotel we would stock up on picnic food across the street and head out for an all day hike. I recommend staying at the hotel for dinners as the food is very good. I would highly recommend this hotel and look forward to returning one day.

Room Tip: Try to get a room with a balcony overlooking the main street.

This was a one night stopover on a summer tour of the cable cars. It is a truly traditional hotel in a lovely village, perched on the mountainside. Arriving by either the funicular or the cable car you will not have far to walk. Rooms in the main building are a bit dark but its very appealing to look our on the snowcovered peak. Remember there is no lift so you carry your bags up the stairs, altho this does give you a chance to see the family sports trophy cabinet, impressive! Having made a tour of the village which is so quiet on summer evening when the day tourists leave, we opted to eat in the hotel's dining room and were very impressed with the quality of the home cooked food and reasonably priced wine.....an unusual plus in Switzerland where wine prices are a bit of a shock if you arrive from surrounding Europe, Breakfast was good too and set us up nicely for a day's walking.

We stayed in Murren for 5 nights at the Blumental. Heidi and Ralph run the place and are wonderful. We stayed in a chalet across the back lawn area (which was beautiful) and had a view from our balcony of the Mountains. The room was new and modern, but still had the classic Swiss charm. It was very roomy and cozy. The breakfast room is stunning and the food is great. We ate in the restaurant one night and thought it was possibly the best meal we had on our trip. I would beg to stay at the Blumental again. Hope all of our friends get a chance to stay there. The price is very reasonable.

Room Tip: Upstairs a few floors and away from the front street.
