The hotel itself was clean and in a good location. The food (breakfast) and dinner at the restaurant was top notch! The room didn't have any extra's and was rather plain. We had asked for a mountain view room but we didn't get one when we arrived. Everything at the hotel was fine but it didn't really add anything to our trip to stay here.

Room Tip: Not sure. We asked for a room with a view when booking but the request wasn't honored.

Stayed here 2 nights in June and it provided a great home for our "break" from our otherwise stressful European trip. The accommodations were perfect -- not overly modern and nothing especially fancy, but everything we needed. (The very hot and pressurized shower was wonderful!) The hotel owners were helpful and friendly, and the included breakfast was delicious, as was dinner in the restaurant one night. Absolutely no complaints -- a wonderful stay in a great location within the town. We would return in a heartbeat.

Room Tip: We stayed in the chalet out back -- had read it was a more modern room but I don't know how it compared to rooms in the main hotel.

Nice hotel, comfortable, clean, functional and in an excellent location in Murren for skiiers, hikers or those just wishing to relax in this virtually car-free pretty swiss village. We are a family of 5 who spent 7 nights here over the new year celebrations 2013/14. I think the most surprise was the spperb cuisine served every evening during our stay on half board basIs, well recommend their restaurant whether you stay here or not. Pleasant and helpful owners - thanks for your hospitality

My wife, two daughters (14 and 12) and I stayed here for two evenings in August and we enjoyed our stay very well. There are a couple of places very close to the lift that carries you into Murren and we had wanted to stay there, but those options were fully booked. Lucky us. We actually think we liked the location of Hotel Blumental better since it a little removed from all of the hustle and bustle of he activity involved with people coming and going from the small town.

The Hotel Blumental owners are eager to make sure your stay is a good one and the gentleman asked, since we were leaving very early in the morning, if we would like him to make us a breakfast. We told him that that was not necessary, but he told us it was no bother and that he would put it out on a table for us early the next day. The breakfast was put together thoughtfully and it appeared he had a couple of rooms that he made breakfast for that day too. We were very appreciative of the effort.

The buffet breakfast we ate when we did not have to leave early was a good one and there was something for each one of us. Again, the gentleman was busying himself flitting about; making sure the buffet was well stocked and that each table was getting what they need to help them be fully satisfied.

The location of the hotel is a good one and one of the best things we liked about it was that it is right across the small road from a local grocery store, that seemed well stocked for a small grocery store. We went to the store a couple of times because it was so convenient.

The hotel also gains you access to the Sports Center, which is about a five minute walk away. My girls and I enjoyed swimming in the pool and it was neat to be in an indoor pool, looking out at the Swiss Alps and seeing snow on some of the peaks, even though it was the month of August.

The rooms are clean and do have the feel of a Swiss Chalet. We had two separate rooms and both were good for our purposes. We like a clean bathroom, and both rooms had very clean bathrooms.

We would stay here again, especially for the proximity to the grocery store and for the effort of the owners to ensure we had a good stay.

We spent our 44th anniversary at this charming hotel. The rooms are like little Swiss Chalets with a wonderful buffet breakfast included. Our room had a small little terrace with a beautiful view. The restaurant is wonderful and it also had a fantastic terrace where you can enjoy a spectacular and photogenic view. The owners are very helpful and kind. There isn't an elevator so you will get your exercise carrying your bags up, but it's only a short flight of stairs. You will be getting great exercise just staying in this area, so carrying a bag upstairs is no big deal! You will love it here!!
