We thoroughly enjoyed this hotel atop the ridge above Lauterbrunnen -- getting there is half the fun -- taking the cable car and the small railway to the town, then walking through the village to the hotel. The room was ready when we arrived, clean and lovely. We especially enjoyed the bedding, with beautiful duvets atop crisp comfortable sheets. Breakfast was included in our rate and it was typical Swiss fare -- breads, croissants, yogurt and excellent coffee. The owners work at making you feel comfortable in their hotel.
We dined at the hotel dining room - food was excellent but we were forgotten when a loud, large tour group came in and ended up waiting a very long time for our entrees and check. So our anticipated, quiet, lovely dinner was overshadowed by a loud group that took too much of the restaurant staff's attention, but we still enjoyed the food.More
