“Amazing, unbeatable experience!”
Reviewed 26 September 2013

My husband and I just finished our Honeymoon through Europe. We traveled to four different countries and stayed in 6 different four/five star hotels. Beausite Park Hotel was by far our favorite hotel and all around best experience! You will be in heaven when you see the view, it's amazing! The hotel staff made us feel very welcomed and everyone was very nice! We will for sure go back someday!

My husband and I stayed at this wonderful hotel last month. It is truly paradise and lives up to all the glowing reviews on Tripadvisor. We unfortunately didn't book soon enough to get a room with a view but were able to upgrade to a suite half way into our stay. This is such a charming place and Wengen is so lovely and quiet(no cars) but still very close to Lauterbrunnen so that traveling around is easy. The hotel staff was so friendly and helpful. I have a food allergy and they were very accommodating. One of the things we enjoyed most was the half board dinner included policy of the hotel. In Switzerland where food and everything else are so expensive it was so nice to know that we didn't have to worry about finding a restaurant every night. Both breakfast and dinner were wonderful. The dining room has a to die for view as does the whole hotel. We met lovely people primarily from England and Australia who have been coming to this hotel for years. A lovely young couple have just taken over the management and are doing a wonderful job. If I have one criticism it is that the workout room is a bit cramped but the hotel has a lovely pool area and the best way to get exercise is hiking the incredible trails all around the area. I have never written a review but felt this place was too lovely not to rave about. EDB

Room Tip: Be sure to book early and ask for a room on the front of the hotel with a view.

My wife and I have just returned from a visit to Switzerland. We stayed for one week in the centre of the mountains of the Bernese Oberland at the Beausite Park Hotel in Wengen. A beautiful hotel with one of the finest views in the world on to the snow-covered peaks of the Jungfrau and Breithorn. The new managers, Denise Mani and Daniel Schupfer, could not have been more welcoming nor their staff more helpful and friendly. The food was excellent and the general feel of the hotel was as good as one would expect from a first class business in Switzerland. With indoor and outdoor (wild) swimming pools in its own grounds and being only a few minutes walk from the town the position is ideal for any activities that the summer visitor is likely to engage in. (In winter it must also be an ideal skiers home) A real mountain retreat which should be shouted from the peaks.

Room Tip: It would be a sin not to have a room facing the mountains having come all this way. What a sight to...

Very enjoyable stay! Nothing is too much trouble for the staff.... they couldn't be more accommodating!

I got the Half Board option... the food really was pretty exceptional: healthy, good quality and well designed menus.

There are a lot of people who visit this hotel year after year - so the repeat custom speaks for itself! However, this does mean that it can get a little cliquey!

Wengen is truly a magical place. I have already recommended this hotel to a few people!

Room Tip: The higher the floor - the more the spectacular view of the valley

My son and I stayed at this hotel in September 2013. From the moment of first contacting them I cannot fault their attitude or service. The view of the mountains from the hotel is wonderful but even without the view i would recommend a visit. Email - "can you pick us up at the station" - very fast reply "of course" . Room serviced at least 3 times a day, clean towels always provided. The porter sees 2 people from the hotel (myself and my son) toiling up the hill after a long walk and he immediately stops to pick us up. Breakfast choice and quality excellent.

My only criticism was the temperature of the pool on our first day. The air temperature had dropped and consequently so had the pool temperature. Some guests quickly complained and by our last morning this was rectified. Although the deal offered for half board was excellent we did not eat in the hotel in the evening as we prefer to go out and explore and be a little more flexible so I cannot comment on the food other than breakfast.

We were upgraded to a junior suite and the space both inside and out on the terrace were wonderful. Most people using the hotel were much older so the hotel has a quite ambiance but in the summer you do not go to Wengen to live it up. The quite of the hotel matched the peace of the beautiful village. Expensive but worth a try.

Room Tip: Mountain views worth the money

We spent a most enjoyable six days in Wengen in early June staying at this hotel. The weather had been unseasonably cold but the hotel gave us a warm welcome from being met at the station to providing an early breakfast and transporting us back to the station for our return journey. The staff were always helpful and kind. The food excellent. The clientele as an earlier reviewer said are heavily weighted to the British blue rinse brigade but this was not a detraction, in fact in some ways these people, having visited this hotel and area frequently, had much good advice to share - on which walks to take depending on the weather conditions. All in all a very pleasant few days break, with wonderful views a good place to rest ones weary legs at the end of the day. The only thing that didn't come up to standard was the Alpine Flowers as they were behind schedule!!!

Room Tip: We had a room facing the mountains across the valley which was wonderful and did not give us a feeli...

We have just returned from a three night visit to Wengen and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Beausite Park. The staff was very welcoming and helped us plan our daily outings. We had breakfast and dinner there each day and the food was very good. Also, Andre and Vittorio's warm hospitality in the dining room made mealtimes even more enjoyable. Our room and balcony were spacious and the views were spectacular. Thanks to Denise and Daniel for a very pleasant stay.
