I stayed with Helen & Mike as a last-minute booking and ended up going on my own. Despite being solo, this was an excellent holiday, having stayed with Helen & Mike twice before when they were in France. Food is excellent, skiing is superb and the chalet is luxurious & relaxing. H&M are great hosts and clearly go out of their way to make the skiing & apres-ski just right. I like their responsive approach to customers' different needs. Will definitely be back with wife & daughter sometime soon.

We enjoyed the combination of good food and your good company as well, as usual. Looking forward to seeing Ali here in the snow, and finally welcoming Sofie:)

We were at Chalet Runca last Winter (February 2011). We had a wonderful stay and Helen and Mike were excellent hosts. I visited with my parents and my sister's family. Mike was an excellent instructor. The food and wine was excellent and we had a great time. It was the first time for us in a 'catered' chalet. I loved the experience and would definitely go back to Chalet Runca sometime soon. Thank you Helen an Mike for a wonderful stay.

We spent a week in Chalet Runca in mid-December 2011. This was our second winter stay in the chalet and we have also spent a week in the chalet in the summer. Each holiday has been a huge success.
The chalet is very big - with 5 comfortable bedrooms and plenty of bathrooms. The owners, Mike and Helen, help to look after you perfectly. A huge bonus is the option of renting skis and boots directly from them as they have a wonderful extensive choice and Mike will ensure that they are fitted correctly. This winter they had a brilliant cook called Jo, who cooked breakfast, made a cake for tea, and a three-course dinner at night. Bliss.
The chalet is a 2 minute walk from a bus stop, with a free bus running directly to the ski slopes, so it couldn't be easier. Plus, because Arosa is so high up, you are virtually guaranteed to have snow (as we did certainly this holiday!).

In the summer, it's a very easy self-catering option with plenty to do, in a typical Swiss summer kind-of-way - lots of walking, swimming in the lake etc.

All in all, Chalet Runca is highly recommended. It is big, very comfortable, and clean, and perfect for large gatherings of family or friends. We will certainly return again.

I've always liked Arose and Chalet Runca is an excellent place to stay there. Beautifully appointed and yet secluded and not too noisy. Excellent food and perfect hospitality. We'll be back!

Great family holiday. Lots to do. Fab sledging runs. Lovely chalet. Free bus that stops almost outside chalet. Slopes great for children learning to ski. No queuing for lifts. Very picturesque. Delicious food.
