Stayed here a number of years ago; attending an AO conference. Charming and traditional rooms which were a good size and comfortable, staff were attentive. Very clean and a good breakfast. Overall very good impression of the place.

This well located hotel is very comfortable and great value for Davos. A short distance away from some restaurants and easy access to the resort bus service. Booked for a Saturday night in February and there was space, but perhaps this was explained by the not ideal weather conditions. The breakfast was very good, and overall it is recommendable.

Stayed at casanna for a course in davos (ao). Booked very late and as such i was a little pressed for choice however an online search revealed that this place had very comparable prices...well, cheep really for Davos.

For a younger person, doctor or like, going to davos for a meeting or course it is a good choice.

If you fly in from abroad, you will likely arrive in zurich. In the airport you buy a train ticket (58 chf, one way). You need to change two times but it is easy and not in any way stressfull. Get off at davos dorf, there is another stop in davos platz but it is longer away.

Started out in room 34. Without doubt the smallest hotelroom i have ever seen. More like Harry Potters hole under the stairs. Build around the elevator, avoid at all cost. However after 3 nights i could move to the much superior room 38.
The hotel is well positioned for the davos congress hall where the ao meetings are held. Take the elevator down to the basement and exit in the parking lot and you have less than 2 min walk. Perfect.
Breakfast is...ok, nice selection but nothing special like pancakes or omlets but i did not miss anything. There is an option to dine at the hotel for 30 chf p.p. Considering the general cost of the food in davos this is a fair price. I only dinned there once and the food was nothing special but at that prize, i didnt complain.
The hotel provide a free bus AND a free skipass!!!
However, no gym or pool.
That is a nice touch as a skipass cost 36 chf pr day. Other but not all hotels do similar offers, ask for it.
Service is friendly but not exceptional, the place is clean.
All in all, I might return if I had to pay for the stay myself or if I were on a budget. There are many other options in davos that offer more but you will have to pay for it.

We stayed at the Casanna hotel in Davos based on the Trip Advisor's reviews--and we were not disappointed. The rooms are snug but very well appointed--new fixtures and a shower with a bath. The rest of the hotel is charming, bright, and very clean. The staff are excellent--very helpful and they speak English well.

Having just stayed in the Casanna I can not express how impressed with both the hotel and its proprietor I am. We were greeted with a very warm welcome in what is a charming hotel. Staying in one superior double and one superior single room both were very well appointed, clean and with a lovely view and balcony. The covered car parking was an excellent option (and free). Breakfast was a good spread of cheeses, meats, cereals, breads, fruits and juices which were all (I tried them) excellent.
As for location you are about midway between Parsenn and Jakobshorn; the bus stop is just 1 - 2 mins walk (in full ski gear) from the hotel so it's in an ideal location if you like a bit of variety in your snow sport. It is old quite handy for bars and restaurants (about a 10 min walk to the main area). The hotel itself though is in a quite area and so a good nights sleep is easy to have.
All-in-all this is an excellent hotel and I would go back there again (and will go back) every time I go to Davos.

it is a bit of a hunt to find this treasure but it s well worth it....the hotel casanna is a real gem...in fact my wife and i really could hardly believe it was for real.....and like brigadoon it would all just turn out to be a mirage.....we were there for one night as we went to the max raabe concert in the concert hall which was nearby.......hopefully we will return for a much longer stay next time.....as soon as we entered this hotel we knew we would be satisfied and the most friendly welcome confirmed this..a very traditional swiss mountain hotel...everywhere spotlessly clean...we had a super room with lovely view.....it had a large balcony where we sat out and enjoyed a leisurely g and t.......the room was blissfully quiet...'installations sanitaires' were excellent.......we enjoyed the tv with its wide selection of channels.....the bed was very comfortable indeed ....breakfast was splendid.....a wide variety of goodies in the buffet....a major advantage of the hotel is its parking...part of which is covered...and at no extra charge....although we were there in august it was clear that this would be the ideal hotel for a ski holiday.....all in all a real treasure of a hotel!

Room Tip: a 'room with a view' is advised
