First off I want to give a shout out to the front desk attendant named Rebecca Kaufmann! She was wonderful from the moment we checked in and throughout our stay from May 29-June 3, 2017. We did every local activity that she suggested and my whole family loved it.

This was a business trip for me and I brought my whole family (adult children). We had the family room (Queen bed with a pull out sofa and king suite (king bed in 1 room and a pullout sofa in the living room) on the 3rd floor facing the road (NO noise at all). The rooms have a shared hallway with a separate door so we were able to just shut that door and leave the bedroom doors open. The bathroom are very modern with good water pressure. The beds were comfortable. We used the laundry center in the basement (pay for tokens at the front desk). The fitness center is small, but the machines are in good condition and there is an adjacent sauna and relaxation room. We used the underground parking which was safe and clean.

The only negative was that the "summer season" didn't start until June 2, so for most of the time we were there a lot of the shops and restaurants were closed. We ended up eating at the next door Migros restaurant a couple of times (part of the grocery store which is deceptively very large from the street entrance!). If you eat fondue at Pulsa by the Grischa Hotel, be aware that one pot can feed like 3 people so we ordered way too much and it was very expensive!

My kids said the highlight for them was the Davos Adventure Climbing Park which took them about 2 hours to complete the whole thing. Luckily it opened on our last day there.

Room Tip: Even if your room faces the main Davos street, the rooms are quiet.

Check in
Check in was a long wait with only two staff manning the reception which meant when a large family or group is checking in then the wait takes way too long. We checked in the evening and it seems staffs were busy with dinner and reception was manned as a bare minimum.
The lifts only work with the room key cards so this only allows guests with key cards to use lifts only.

The Room
A very spacious room with a large king size bed and several pillows. A large flat screen although never got a chance to view the channel choices. TV and table and chair. Tea/Coffee making facilities were available and plenty of storage with in-room safe. The bed was very comfortable and certainly provided a good night sleep as there were no noises from the corridors or other rooms hence god sound proofing.
The bathroom was clean and great power shower. Toiletries supplied were high quality in line with the Hilton standards. Generous towels provided which is handy.

Breakfast
Breakfast is a slight let down for Hilton standards. The cakes/bread/pastry section is minimal and could be improved. The biggest let down is the automatic coffee/drinks machine. Any drink from this machine tastes horrible and the tea bags provided are anything but real tea. Suggest those who like their tea to bring their own tea bags as the Swiss are not big tea fans.

Location
The location of this hotel is literally across the road from the venue that hosts the World Economic Forum by the G8 leaders. There is an Italian restaurant walking distance from the Hotel but otherwise it can be a dead place at night as expect in Davos. Parking is available for guests and this is a dig friendly hotel so something to be aware of. Also worth noting that the chair lifts to the mountain/station is also walking distance and another benefit of the location of this hotel.

Room Tip: Get rooms facing the garden for a quiet feel

We came to this hotel end August for one week and took their half board package.
The hotel room is small, but very quiet. The hotel staff were very friendly. The breakfast buffet was great and the dinners during our stay were just excellent. Every evening we had a 4 course dinner with appetizer, soup, meat and dessert. The chef of their restaurant is very good. We highly recommend to take the half board package. The hotel is well located, just adjacent to Migros supermarket and Migros restaurant. In front of Migros, there is a bus stop which takes you to all the tourist sites. The hotel gives you a pass which is free of charge and it allows you to take freely all the public transportations in that area, including all the cable cars.

Maybe I'm a bit biased as a Hhonors member, but between the 5 different places I stayed in Switzerland, this was by far the most comfortable. The location in convenient to town and they have access to a nearby parking garage. The breakfast was expansive and was both western and European e.g. more than just cold cuts.
