All things are relative, but that is the point of reviews. We stayed in six hotels (almost all four star) in three countries on our recent trip and this one was the only disappointment. The hotel is plenty "nice" but the mattress was rock-hard to the point it interfered with my sleep and I even asked the front desk if they could offer something like an extra comforter to soften the blow. The bed didn't feel any different on the second night. The comforters are too warm for summer. There was only one very thin pillow for each of us. We called to request a second one just before bed the first night because it hadn't even dawned on us to count pillows in a 4-star hotel. The internet service was almost non-existent. We literally had to take turns standing at the furthest corner of the walk-in closet to eek out a single "bar" from the wifi. Breakfast was fine, with variable degrees of service. The first morning we wanted to sit at a table different from the one to which we were directed. We were basically forbidden from doing so; yet, shortly thereafter, another couple occupied the very same alternative table. The downstairs fitness facility was the one standout of the hotel. It includes a significant variety of exercise equipment as well as sauna, steam room, relaxation chamber, and aromatherapy showers.
