This was our third stay at the Laudinella and as usual it fully met our expectations!

When we arrived at the train station we were met by the Laudinella bus driver and directed to where he had parked the bus. The trip from the station to the hotel takes about five minutes.

The rooms were very nice and comfortable, as usual... We were on the second floor with great views out the bedroom windows. Unlike many Swiss hotels the Laudinella includes Wifi in the bedrooms, although it is limited to two free devices.

The hotel offers a wide range of dining opportunities, we dined at the Pizzeria on both nights, although some of our party selected Thai dishes, which the staff were happy to serve us in the Pizzeria. The breakfast buffet was something special with a very wide range of options from bacon and eggs to asian options!

We really could not find a fault with this hotel. Thanks for a great stay and hopefully we will be back again soon.

Stayed there as part of a Go Ahead Tour. Our rooms were assigned. We had a room in the back and my wife said it had the look of a dormitory. Our problem was that with no air conditioning in the hotel (which really is not needed), you do need to open he windows and ours opened to the back roof. This roof was easily accessible to us and to every room on our floor. If you leave your windows open, any one can move from room to room via the roof. Also you can easily see what is going on in the building behind us, and they can easily note what is going on in your room

Went to bar down in the basement, but immediately left due to cigarette smoke. With most people in the world now living in a smoke free environment, I just can't tolerate that anymore.

Dinner buffett was one of the best I have ever had, anywhere. Best meal we had on our tour. Many choices and good local dish interpretations. During the breakfast there were asian options and I enjoyed that also. Get up early and take a morning walk. What a great and peaceful place for a walk.

Room Tip: Get a front balcony room.

When we first arrived and went to our rooms, we felt a bit claustrophobic. The room was rather small for two women traveling together. There was a French door that we opened and with the fresh air coming into the room, it made the room tolerable.
Bathroom was very clean. Tiles glistened.

When we left, I left my sandals in the room and realized the next day that I had left them at the hotel. We called the hotel and they were very accommodating to mail them to the hotel were we were staying for the fee of postage. The staff went all out to assist us with the missing shoes. Customer service like this is fabulous. We have told our friends how great the hotel was and would stay again.

As part of a package tour the hotel had somehow not been aware of our booking. Nevertheless we were allocated a suite which was spacious and of good quality and clean. Shower excellent!
The only bar was down in what felt like the cellar and whilst we had a choice of 5 restaurants to eat from it wasn't clear which ones were included in the package deal and which ones incurred an additional cost. Building is a large and disconnected.
Disappointing end to a holiday in Switzerland. Overall wouldn't recommend or return.

Room Tip: Wifi was poor

During the summer season this hotel is busy with tour groups, especially Asian. In fact, you might find miso soup at the breakfast bar. In winter it's a hip ski party place. Easy to find if you're driving but if you come by train or bus, the hotel staff will pick you up at the depot if you call on arrival. Otherwise, you'll have to grab a cab or jump a local bus at the depot. And you can walk if all you have are roller bags or a backpack. Just follow the paved trail along the lake. The hotel, itself, promotes itself as both a spa and an events center. While you're there, you'll probably have the opportunity, should you choose, of attending an event. Most of these are sort of New Age. My room was simple; some have lake views. The bed was O.K. but I found the bath area short on amenities. So bring your own supply. The room also had a radio and TV and an in-closet safe. The location is by the lake, not the quaint village center which is an uphill walk of about 20 minutes. There are forest and lakeside trails almost right out of the door and you can actually walk to hip Pontresina. The hotel has about 6 restaurants within and you can negotiate a board package. The 5th floor houses the spa, pool, and exercise area. The staff is multi-lingual, so no sweat in getting directions. Check for on-line specials.

Beautiful area. Meals were OK, but nothing to write home about. We were part of a Globus Tour so had our room pre-assigned. Room was small but clean. Minimal bathroom amenities. We must have had the worst room in the hotel. It was over the service entrance. Lots of noise and I think all the workers came to the area to smoke. Our windows were open for fresh air, yet all we got was smoke. They did have a nice sauna and steam room area, but be prepared it is co-ed including showers!

The Hotel Laudinella is a charming Swiss hotel in the very expensive ski resort' St. Moritz. The staff is friendly, the rooms are large by European standards, the breakfast and dinner buffets offer something for everyone. The hotel is located near the lake, which has a paved walking path all around it. The only complaint is the handheld shower which sprays your bathroom, no matter how careful you are. The duvet-covered beds and the open windows create a wonderful night' so sleep.
