My wife and I, along with our two friends stayed at this hotel in January 2008 for 2 nights.
After a 5 minute taxi ride from the train station, we were warmly greeted by Sasha, who gave us a run down of the hotel facilities, and he then helped us to our rooms with our luggage.
After we had freshened up, he showed us some points of interest and a few restaurants/bars, which he drew on a map for us.
He apologised in advance for the noisy room, as my wife and I were staying in the front downstairs room. We didn't hear a thing from outside all night though, thanks to some thick glass and even thicker curtains.
The room was very spacious and clean, the only bugbear was the two single beds pushed together to make a double, but this seemed to be fairly standard in most of the places we stayed at in Switzerland. The bathroom was also very clean and spacious.
Breakfast was included in the room rate, and there was an excellent selection available, with the owner/manager making sure we weren't wanting for anything.
The friendly owners/staff at the Languard really go out of their way to make you feel welcome, and although it's a hotel, it has a nice B&B feel to it.
