This gem of a hotel has created a warm environment for travellers. I heard about it from a ski instructor at the Badrudt Palace Hotel, and it was featured in a NY Times travel article. It was even better than I expected.

Totally redone, it is an immaculate, brand-new seeming hotel. I have never stayed at a cleaner hotel, even brand new construction, and I even spotted a housekeeper climbing up on a table to dust and clean every nook and cranny. The bathroom is cleaner than some hospital operating rooms. The personal hospitality of the owners/proprietors is unmatched. The breakfast is great, and their advice on local restaurants and ski shops is reliable. Your pleasant stay is their total commitment.

Although not right on the slope (almost nothing is in St. Moritz) there is a ski shop 100 yards from the Funicular Train station to the ski area, and that is a couple of easy blocks away. Renting and/or storing and tuning skis there makes it much easier than you would expect to have a village experience and a ski resort experience at the same time.

There are numerous, great restaurants within easy walking distance. And, you can stop by the five star hotels for a drink in their lobby or a meal in their restaurants if see and be seen is your goal (apparently a big sport in St. Moritz).

The place is conveniently located in the city center, a 5 mins taxi ride from the station.
The hotel looks like a regular small hotel but it is super cozy and has a home feeling.
We got great and cozy room facing the lake. The room basic was good in size and clean but basic (no minibar).
The breakfast was included and it was ordinary, however you can have a great view while eating.
The staff are friendly and very helpful.
Highly recommended and certainly will stay again.
Good value for money.
Ricardo.

We stayed at this hotel for 6 nights, using it as a base for day hikes. The best thing about this hotel is its small size and that it is family-owned and managed. The proprietors are extremely friendly and helpful. The location is good - a short walk to the the funicular that zips up to the top of Piz Nair, and the bus stop, only 100 ft or so from the hotel. We opted to pay extra for a room overlooking the lake - the extra windows and view were well worth it. The rooms are made of lovey pine and are spacious; the bathoom, although small was very functional. The breakfasts are traditional healthy Swiss with sliced meats and cheese, cereals and a selection of breads and fruit. The only downside was that there was construction adjacent to the hotel which blemished the view somewhat and resulted in noise during the day.

We found Hotel Languard a wonderful place to stay and highly recommend it. The proprieter is extremely friendly and helpful and went out of his way to make our stay comfortable. Our room was the largest on our trip and had a beautiful view of the lake. The room was decorated in light pine and had a large closet. The bathroom was the only area where the decor was not that inviting.

The location is good but you probably will want to take a taxi or bus from the train station. It is very close to shops and restaurants. Rooms were quiet and clean. I would definitely stay here again if I get the chance.
