“An excellent hotel manager”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 June 2013

Hotel room is very clean. However ,the art on the wall in the room is not suitable for young children. I myself cannot appreciate such art. The hotel manager Susan went out of her way to make up for our bad start due to some miscommunication. She is tolerant and patient. She deserves many thumbs up for trying to make our stay enjoyable. To sum it all, Susan has done a great job in making our stay pleasant in St moritz. She definitely deserves a promotion. hope her boss reads this. She is an asset to the service industry.

This hotel is located over their restaurant so you really need to look out for it as it is easy to miss but what a great find! The second we walked in we were warmly greeted by the lovely Hannah who showed us to our Mexican themed room. The room although small was beautifully appointed. We decided to eat at the Italian restaurant down stairs. The food was fantastic and the delightful manager Susan came and introduced herself. Breakfast had a small selection of everything you need and the quality and freshness was wonderful. My partner and I loved this hotel and our only complaint was that we were only there 1 night at the end of doing the Glacier express. Would highly recommend!

We stayed at the Hotel Arte for 3 nights for a last minute trip to St Moritz. Hotel is centrally located and a short walk to the Chantarella talstation which is ideal for those wanting to take advantage of the corviglia ski region. Our room (the Egyptian room) was quite roomy with views of the mountains, extremely clean and the bathroom was modern and well appointed. The pizza restaurant was great and at a reasonable price. There was also a good selection of food for breakfast in the morning to prepare you for a days skiing. However, what made our stay most enjoyable was the exceptional and friendly service offered by Suzanne and her team. Suzanne was on hand to answer all of our questions and reserved a park in front of the hotel for us at our request. Parking is limited. Suzanne even went beyond the call of duty and helped us to free our car following a downpour of snow! No lobby/reception area (entrance is shared with the restuarant). Wifi was free but connectivity was limited to the restaurant. All and all a great value hotel given that this is St Moritz and other hotels are comparatively more expensive.

We had stayed there for the weekend of the 45. Engadin Skimarathon.
The rooms are not very big but very nicely decorated, completely renovated and very practical with a lot of storage space.
The hotel is centrally located, which is a great thing on one hand, but on the other hand if you come by car you might need to calculate some extra costs for leaving your car in the public garage as there are only few parking spots. If you tell the hotel manager Susie in advance that you come by car, she might be able to reserve a hotel parking space for you.
And there we are, Susie, the hotel manager made our stay extraordinarily personal thanks to her amazing and natural hospitaltiy skills. She arranged the waxing of our skis, reserved a hotel parking spot for us, did get up before 6 on the marahon day to prepare breakfast for the runners and we were able to keep one of the two rooms to store our luggage and to shower after the marathon.
There is not much more to say than that we have very much enjoyed our stay, that we can highly reccomend this hotel and that it hadn't been our last stay.

Room Tip: Each of the nine rooms has its individual interiors, which represent a country or a part of the worl...

We only had one night planned in St-Moritz, but if we would have known ahead of time of the charm and warmth of Hotel Arte, we would have planned a longer stay. It's a small hotel with less than a dozen rooms, and every one is decorated with a different theme. We had the 'Venice' room.

We had a warm welcome from Susan, who introduced herself as the manager, but in real life, she does a lot more! She's also present in the restaurant, serving tables and making sure everything is up to our standards. We asked for a wake-up call in the morning, which came on time, but she personally came up and gently knocked on our door, saying that there had been a minor glitch in the system recently and wanted to be sure we would be awake at the desired time.

Breakfast was included in the room rate. It's a well-garnished and varied buffet, up to par with larger hotels.

If we return to St-Moritz, the Hotel Arte will be our choice. It's a little island of quality paired with a moderate price in this resort town where many things are out of proportion.

We stayed one night on our trip to Switzerland.
The location is perfect - easy walking to train station.
We had the Japenese room. The rooms are very clean and nicely decorated.
The manager was very friendly and helpful.
We have enjoyed breakfast as well.

Room Tip: Choose the room which just suit to your choice. However all are very nice and clean.

Had a great time. Bed very comfortable. Close to town centre. Easy walking to train station.

The place isn't always manned though so you may have trouble leaving a bag with them for the day that you leave.
