This is a scenic bus journey which can stand on par with some of the scenic journeys by train that we have done in Switzerland!
Our bus-driver was a Very cheerful person and he provided commentary as we passed through the different areas. Only thing is, he didn't speak English!
We were sitting on the left-hand side of the bus and it turned out that for most of the journey, that was the more scenic side as well.
The bus passes through Silvaplana and Sils (both pretty), goes over the Maloja Pass and into the Bregaglia Valley. The Bregaglia Valley is beautiful! It was lush green with lots of trees.
At our mid-journey stop in Chiavenna, Italy, we went to the restaurant across from the bus stop (they had a TripAdvisor sticker on their front door!) and got some Italian pistachio and nocchiola (hazelnut) gelato - it was Excellent!!
A good part of the bus journey is around Lake Como where you pass many lake resort towns. There is only space for single lane traffic in each direction so it is very interesting to watch how the bus and cars on the road maneuver along the roads!
