The first shock was to discover that there was no car parking available, which was a serious setback to our plans. We booked because this place was described as having "public parking". It turned out that there was free parking available in certain parking bays on the street at night. During the day, free parking was available for only one hour at a time. The nearest paid-for car park had a limit of three hours. Other paid-for parking was well beyond walking distance. It was therefore not possible to leave our rented car and go out for the day.
The flat itself has seen better days, as it was rather grimy and run-down, especially in the rather sordid bathroom. The sofa-bed was not in useable condition as a bed, although as a sofa it was acceptable. There is a washing machine in the basement, which works with a card which we had to ask the agent to supply, but there is no dryer - just a clothes-hanging area in another dark basement room.
Another drawback is that renters have to collect the key during working hours from the letting-agent in another part of town, in an area with no car parking permitted. The keys have to be returned to the same place afterwards.
Don't say you haven't been warned!
Nice apartment with perfect location - 5 minutes to the Lido and 2 minutes to the bus stop and funicular to Monte Bre.
The only minus is that we expected 4 comfortable sleeping places. Double bed in the bedroom is good, but sofa in the hall isn't comfortable to sleep at all. Everything else is ok and corresponds to the description.
