The hotel was beautiful both inside and out with a warm and welcoming atmosphere from start to finish and a picture perfect view of Zermatt and the Matterhorn. The rooms were beautiful, modern and very tastefully decorated with lots of little gimmicks to discover (a scented candle, a bag of cookies, special set of toiletries, etc.). Highlight for me was the spa area in each chalet with an outdoor Jacuzzi, massage room and sauna. The location - literally connected to the slopes and Sunegga station - was brilliant for those waiting to hit the slopes, though waiting for a taxi to take you in to town took a good 10-15 minutes. The staff was incredibly friendly and efficient, helping us feel comfortable at all times and promptly responding to all our requests. The restaurant was very nice and they had an incredible breakfast buffet even featuring a selection of home-made jams! This hotel really goes the distance. If you're not looking to live on a budget, this is the place to stay.

We didn't stay at Cervo, but it was our preferred bar/cafe at the end of beautiful tree lined run. I agree that this is one of the only true ski in ski out venues. Best coffee and gluhwein here with excellent service in a spectacularly well decorated venue with lovely device.

Arrival - the hotel sent a "car" to pick us up at the train station when we arrived. It was a short drive up the hill to the hotel.

Check-in - the staff took the time to give us information about activities available and the best way to get around the town.

Room - simply lovely. We had an amazing view. The room was spacious, very clean and provided all the comforts a traveler would want

Room service - we arrived late the first night so we order room service and we were impressed! We had a charcuterie plate and french fries ( I know, not very healthy!). The pate was amazing and the meats fresh. It was perfect.

Restaurant - OUTSTANDING. A must go for any visitor staying at the hotel or not. Book early though!

Staff Service - I can not say enough about the staff of this hotel. The service is excellent and yet not pompous or overly formal. They go above and beyond.

We stayed at the Cervo over the new year period for 10 days, and originally thought that this would be too long of a stay, but after getting to the hotel, and seeing it with our own eyes and experiencing the first night stay, we wished we were staying much longer. The location is based at the end of the ski trail so it certainly is 'ski in & ski out'. The rooms are spacious, private and contain the luxurious little details that guests appreciate (molton brown products in bathroom, scented candles, monocle mags, espresso machine and my personal favourite 'countless hangers' in the closet). Incredible views of the alps and Matterhorn. After 10 days, you certainly start to feel like it is a second home and this is due to the staff at the hotel who are impressive, efficient and incredibly personable. Definitely order the truffle fries!!

After checking-in and seeing the room, we cancelled our other plans and extended our stay!

We weren't in Zermatt for skiing, but rather wanted a luxurious hideaway in the alps; Cervo did not disappoint. The staff, the food, and the amenities were 'alpine modern' and little details were not missed. A fully stocked minifridge, fireplace, steam shower, and private hot tub were just some of the highlights. Being at the top of the valley meant an unobstructed views of the town and the mountains. Truly unique.

The restaurant served exceptional food. The service was attentive, without being intrusive. The host was always close by and everyone ensured that we knew no request was a bother. Try the cervo truffle cheese fries - we ate them every night! There is a great wine list too!

The staff stand out as making this hotel one of the best. Prior to arrival we had a few requests and questions. Emails were answered almost immediately with exactly the information we were looking for. Arrangements were made to pick us up at the train station and upon arrival at the hotel we were greeted with drinks, a speedy check-in, and an overview of the town. The staff were ready to arrange tours, rentals, and whatever else we needed.

You won't go wrong with a stay at this hotel.

Room Tip: Upgrade to the spa suite - the views are worth it.

I have been to a lot of ski resorts, but this truly is a gem. Waking up with a view of the matterhorn could not have been nicer. The rooms are modern but with an alpine flair, clean (they are cleaned twice a day) and the chalet style layout of the hotel provides a lot of privacy. Each chalet has 6-10 rooms in it, and its own spa area. Despite being there over New Years, we always had the sauna and wellness area entirely to ourselves after skiing. The service here was amazing. Whatever one requests, one will get. We needed a flashlight for a hike, and within 20 minutes the reception had arranged one for us to rent and even picked it up for us. The owner (Daniel Lauber) is so friendly and always on site to take care of any questions or concerns one may have - it is unusual to find a hotel nowadays at which the person in charge is actually on site at almost all times. The food at the restaurant is highly recommended. Not only was the breakfast delicious, but dinner there was also fantastic. This hotel is truly worth every cent! Literally the only complaint I could come up with is that the beds were a little bit on the hard side, but the rest will make you forget all else.
