Food portions were generous, and rather tasty.
The waitress couldn't break a smile and I guess that is why we got annoyed when she kept addressing us in Italian...
Nothing extraordinary.

We selected this restaurant for dinner on our first night in Zermatt. We decided to eat inside despite the warm weather - most outside tables were taken. There were very few diners inside at that early hour. Our server was very attentive and we all ordered pizzas. They were excellent. The men ordered beers and our ladies each had bottled waters.

Of course, we ordered ice cream desserts. They were also great. All in all, a good choice for a casual dinner.

After a day of hiking the beautiful mountain trails, and wandering the charming streets of Zermatt, we were famished! Nothing sounded better than a big plate of pasta and spicy pizza to complete a near ideal day. Unfortunately, we (again) attempted to give Molino's another chance after a disappointing first visit in the winter. We were hopeful the summer attitude would offer a better dining experience. No such luck. Although there was a significant crowd seated at the very-inviting patio / outdoor dining tables, it appeared they would have sufficient staff to accommodate another table of 2 diners. (Half the tables had chairs removed and were not open to dining.) We sat down and waited. And waited. And waited. A concierge appeared "inconvenienced" by our presence, but did provide us menus and dining utensils. We perused the tantalizing menu, decided on a selection, and then waited for the waiter / waitress to return to take our order. And waited. And waited. And waited. After we noticed another table with a family seated, including a disabled gentleman in a wheelchair, who also were not receiving service, we agreed to give the staff ANOTHER 15 minutes to take our order. However, we also started watching other tables to see whether there was any organization to the seeming madness of the staff (i.e. whether they knew which order which patrons arrived and which section was being served by various wait-staff.) There appeared to be no organization or methodology behind the service -- or more accurately, lack thereof. When we noticed yet a third table of people who arrived AFTER we did being served, we decided to move on to a more "customer service oriented" location. We were NOT sorry we left. We went on to a location nearby and had an absolutely phenomenal meal with impeccable service. Needless to say, we will not return to Molino a third time.

We went to this restaurant to have lunch. But we had to wait ages for the waiter to take our order. We ordered pizza and pasta which was good though.Just on the main street ,we were seated outdoors and pretty liked being there. But again had to wait ages to pay the bill. The price too was on the higher side. The service needs to improve..!

My wife and I stopped here one night in May. We had thought friends of our had recommended the restaurant but found out later that it was different Italian restaurant. In any case the food was fairly good, typical Italian, however the waiter was just flat out rude. We usually have a good time with the wait staff we meet but this guy had zero personality and made it clear that he would prefer not to bother with us. The location is good - but you can certainly find far better restaurants near by.
