Best Birthday ever!
thank you to the Backstage.

Such a pleasure to stay in a unique and beautifully designed hotel. We didn't want to go out! our room overlooked the Matterhorn, Lovely, creative details in the room ....and the fireplace and balcony we really enjoyed especially.

The spa is a real surprise, it's one of a kind. Be sure to explore all 7 different spaces to enjoy. I miss relaxing in my robe already, should have bought one as a souvenir!

Service and the welcome from (i think Sandrine?) in reception to the busy and friendly ladies making breakfast happen was great. Breakfast was excellent.

We hope to return.

Anyone trying to decide whether to book... Don't hesitate!

This property was lovely. Our room was lovely and interesting. From the personal greeting by the wonderful Annalena to the sleek design, we were so happy with choosing this hotel. Easy location - close to everything in this lovely town. Good breakfast too. Highly recommended!

My husband and I felt happy to stay in this chic chalet for 2 nights in July with our mothers. We booked two standard double room with balcony. This is the most stylish boutique hotel that we have ever stayed. Breakfast is nice and we love the smoked salmon and various bread so much! The room is clean with comfortable bed. It takes us around 5 mins to walk from railway station to the hotel with our luggages and it is great that it is just next to Migros. No electric kettle in the room, but you can get hot water in the reception before 10pm. The pool mentioned here is not for swimming, it is just the jacuzzi, however, we don't have time to try. It is hardly to open two luggages in the room. Basin is outside the toilet and almost next to bed. We were happy to receive chocolate in matterhorn shape upon check-out. From the balcony, we can see beautiful Matterhorn!

Such a great hotel with such interesting and thoughtful design and architecture. The spa is not to be missed - a wonderful treat. The rooms are fantastic with modern amentities. The location is easy to find and overlooks the tennis courts. The breakfast is great with many different choices and fantastic coffee.

We stayed for 3 nights in early July. The weather was appalling, so bad we couldn't see the Matterhorn from our hotel room (frustrating after paying more to get the view!) but the hotel made up for not being able to see the mountains. The deluxe double was nice and spacious and the bath with a view was brilliant. The stars however were the outdoor jacuzzi and spa, the floating tank especially, the reception and lobby with its roaring fire, and the quirky bar and cinema in the basement. I debated for a long time about booking this hotel over some of the higher rated Zermatt hotels on trip advisor, but was really glad I did! Stunning hotel!

The hotel is close to Zematt train station.
The design of lobby and the room is very special.
The staffs are very nice and offered us a drink when we arrived and departed.
The breakfast is very nice as well.

The only thing need to be improved is the Wifi connection is very bad in the room.

We've stayed in a few of Zermatt's amazing hotels, twice in sister (?) hotel Coeur des Alpes (which is amazing)

This is a very arty hotel, with the usual welded loo fittings, instruments & cups making the wacky chandeliers, chairs & the rest of the hotel.

We stayed in one of the cubes which is a very cool looking cube in the middle of the room. It's quite comfy but does has its problems. Put it this way, the toilet is under the bed in the home-made cube so you will have to be very familiar with whoever you're sharing the room with! I would also say that anyone over 5 foot should watch their head.

The reception & lounge area is very cool, although nothing compared to the amazing experience that is the Genesis er... sauna, pool, wind, creation thingy. Very handy for the station, not just for arrival / departure, but also for the train that takes you to the top of the mountain.

Two bad things though; on Saturday night there was a club night downstairs. When we arrived back at our room after a hard day's snowboarding we found a choice; tickets & ear plugs. Having been out the night before we choose the ear plugs which unfortunately did not detract from the thumping bass. Secondly the Michelin starred restaurant was probably one the worst culinary experiences I ever had; I wonder if they have a Michelin tyre rather than star.

I really wanted to like this hotel; it has great style & has aspects of fabulousness. Just need to sort out a bit of guest care.
