We chose the quad room with loft for our stay with our friends. The four of us shared this room and it was fun with plenty of space. Oversided room with two twin beds in the loft. The main area has a large double bed and nice sitting area overlooking Zermatt and the Matterhorn. Great balcony area for those shots of the mountain once the clouds cleared.

The bathroom in the room was terrific....

The sauna, whirlpool, and pool area was terrific and underused. It's located in the basement and we found the area in the basement to be very nice and really fun to use. We enjoyed having a few moments to warm up in the hot tub and cool off in the pool. Other reviews said it wasn't that nice and we found the opposite to be true and it gave us a nice spa feeling. Other areas of the spa on the lower area was a game and saunas.

The location of the facility was just fine....at a farther end of town, but Zermatt isn't that big that it was too far to walk. We enjoyed touring around the town with plenty of shopping and enjoyable areas. A stream runs through town. The train station is right in town.....so everything was easily reachable.

We loved Zermatt and would stay at this hotel again!!!

Room Tip: We enjoyed the quad room a lot. Loft is very cute but be aware that there are two separated twin be...

Travelled with 2 elderly people and a baby. Stayed in a family room on 4th floor with Matterhorn view.
Things we're happy about:
- location: minutes away from the train station and town centre. They also provide free transfer up to 9pm
- cleanliness: the room and bathroom were spotless. In fact, bathroom looked like it has just been refitted recently, which was a bonus
- comfort: the beds were real nice
- service: our kettle was broken when we wanted to boil water at 11pm. Phoned reception and got a brand new one in 5 minutes
- breakfast: very good range (muesli/cereals, milk, preserved fruit, fresh fruit, bacon, scrambled, boiled eggs, baked beans, sliced ham, sliced cheese, cucumber, tomatoes, cream cheeses, rice, bread rolls, sliced bread, crackers, spreads, sparkling wine, coffee, tea, instant chocolate, apple juice, and orange juice)
- baby friendly: there was children play area and they even put a couple of plastic bowls and sippy cups in the breakfast room, which I thought was a nice touch

Things we thought could've made our stay EVEN better:
- communication: they could've let us know about construction work which would spoil the view of Matterhorn (there were cranes, etc). It wasn't a big deal and I understand it was out of their control but still, it would've been good to know at the time of booking as we paid extra for the view and my parents were slightly disappointed when we got there
- space: the family room was a large double room with a very small room that had a single bed in it. The single room would probably be enough for a petite person or a child but I felt slightly claustrophobic in there, so we moved the single mattress and put it on the floor of the double room and it worked fine
- cot: I was delighted when they said they would provide a cot for my baby but it wasn't there when we arrived (we did arrive late so they couldn't get it till the next morning) so we had to co-sleep. If my baby was older though, it may have been slightly problematic.
- courtesy: while most of the staff were very nice, there were a couple that looked like they were fed up (at 9am in the morning). No smiles or hello. I guess we must've caught them on a bad day. Again, not a big deal.

Overall, we were happy staying there for a couple of nights. It was a good hotel, it ticked all the boxes (and some) at reasonable price. Would recommend this hotel if you're visiting Zermatt.

Rooms look like they have been remodeled so they are not bad. Had all of the basic essentials. Only complaint was that many people in our group had difficulty using the shower. A small refrigerator with drinks is provided, but it did not cool well at all. Breakfast was average. Best part was location. Very close to shops and restaurants.

Room Tip: A higher floor room with a view of the Matterhorn.

We went in may - not a good month but still enjoyed the v stay. Had a mountain view room which you really should get. Only problem was we had a Crane right b in front b of the Matterhorn- so no photos from the room. I believe May is one of the months they can only build so probably not s problem in others.

Very spacious room we had and very comfortable. Although I did not that there were many many rooms so you may not get the same as we did in a quiet time.

The hotel is close to the
rail station and although
little south of town no real problem.

Staff were good so in summary, I would stay again.

It is a good hotel with spacious rooms and excellent Wi- fi connectivity. The pool and spa are good but there was an awful smell in the lift lobby just outside the restaurant. The breakfast spread is limited with virtually nothing except bread and cornflakes for the vegetarians. The pick up and drop facility made it very convenient. The staff are good and co-operative.

Room Tip: Almost all rooms have some view of the snow clad peaks.

Dear Tripadvisor User

Thanks a lot for the feedback! We checked the elevator about the smell, but no one of us smelled anything.
For vegetarians we provide also some fresh fruits and different mueslis.

Have been staying here since the 1970's. Good location. Free Bus stop outside. Nice big rooms, not that modern but lovely balcony. Great view.
Modernised spa in Arca building is lovely. Warm salt water pool with massage jets. Great sauna and steam room. Bed and breakfast only which was fab. Much nicer to go for a short walk up the Main Street, look at expensive jewellery, have a lovely dinner out and walk back under the stars.
Will always go back...

Room Tip: Always go for a room with a Matterhorn view, if you don't you will regret it!

Stayed for 1 week in February to meet up and ski with a friend and also my daughter who lives and works in Zermatt. Despite being half term (the hotel was full), I found every single member of staff with whom I had contact, to be the most welcolming and attentive that I have ever encountered. Well done everyone!
My room was spacious, warm, exceptionally clean, comfortable and quiet. Loads of tv channels and good (stable) wireless internet connection.
Although booked on a b&b basis, I elected to dine in the hotel each evening, taking the set menu - first class.
Will certainly be my number one choice when I next return to Zermatt.

Room Tip: Although my room (603) did not have Matterhorn view, it was very spacious but if the view is importa...
