The perfect hotel for a romantic get-away! Great SPA and total relax!
Breakfast was very good and the service top notch in all areas! Great for couples but in the Winter I am sure kids would love it as well with all the dedicated areas.
We will come back for a longer visit!

What a fantastic place. The scenery is awesome, the hotel is first class.

Most importantly the staff match the above with great and friendly service.

Our room was spacious and clean with a view that was simply perfect with the Matterhorn in the distance. Without going too far it's nearly as stunning as the Yorkshire hills on a sunny day.

The hotel is fairly remote but the access provided is first class. We drove to Tasch and were met and taken to Zermatt by taxi then straight to the train and finally onto the hotel tram. In both directions this was seamless.

We went to chill out in the middle of a road trip through the Rhine and Alps. All of our hotels were first class (barring one) but this one stood head and shoulders above the rest.

Hoping to visit for a much longer stay in the coming years

The room was very nice, the staff pleasant and the location great as a starting point for a few of our hikes. However, without a valley pass, we had to pay for the train back to Zermatt for other hikes. I think the hotel would do well to include a Valley Lift Pass for any visit in the summer. This would allow more than hiking but it would also permit shopping and visiting other types of restaurants in Zermatt. The food was expensive and drinks were 26 swiss francs each at the hotel. This alone would encourage people to leave and explore Zermatt.

Room Tip: Be sure to get a Matterhorn view. Spectacular.

When old travel bag was in her early 20s she was a waitress here for 6 seasons at the old Hotel Riffelalp. She promised herself that one day she would come back as a guest and would bring her family. That day has come!!

Everything about the new resort (albeit over 20 years old now) is welcoming, warm and generous. The receptionist Martina was an absolute delight - very helpful whatever the question - and my children have loved being here.

We stayed under a summer Family Get Together offer and it was perfect for us. Even when the weather closed in there was so much to do that we just relaxed in to it. The packed lunch provided under this offer is great - we ate it in the children's games room out of rain.

Restaurant wise: we enjoyed Al Bosch on one night but preferred the Restaurant Alexander. Food there is just wonderful.

We'll definitely be back - there are 5* hotels and there is the Hotel Riffelalp!!

This is truly one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. The view is breathtaking, and the hiking trails around the hotel provide ample opportunity to enjoy the scenery. The hotel itself is very nice, the personnel is very friendly and attentive to the smallest details.
We particularly enjoyed the wellness area and the outdoor heated pool (although shortly, as a storm started and they had to close it). We also were lucky to be there for the Swiss national day on August 1, and thus participated in the evening activities that were organized for this celebration. The view of the fireworks in Zermatt was amazing.
