Our family of four stayed at the Hotel Daniela two weeks ago. We all loved it, including our teens. It exceeded our expectations! The hotel staff was exceptionally cheerful and happy to be of service. The hotel itself is spotless and exudes charm and warmth. We stayed in a two bedroom apartment with a kitchen, living room, shared bath and balcony. Every inch is so well thought out that we wished we lived there...especially with the view.
We ate breakfast there each morning and loved the wide variety to choose from: breads, pastries, yogurts, meats, cheeses, hardboiled eggs and fresh-squeezed orange juice. The coffee and hot chocolate were great too!
The only down side to staying here is that it is on a "busy" main street. "Busy" and "main" being a relative term. Remember that this is a small town and the cars are really jazzed up golf carts. Still. There is a lot of traffic noise as well as construction crews banging around. No sleeping in with your windows open! To be honest, we were so happy there that this did not matter that much to us.
We went over to their sister property, the Julen, and had dinner as well as enjoyed the indoor pool. The spa looked fantastic, although we did not use it. Folks, it doesn't get any better than this! In all our travels in Switzerland, this was by far our favorite place!
