We have previously stayed at the Mont Cervin Palace during our previous visits to Zermatt but felt we wanted a change this year even though we have had no complaints of the Mont Cervin.
When we first arrived we were met at the railway station (had previously informed the hotel of our arrival time) and was taken straight to the National hotel to then be greeted by Michael who was really friendly and welcoming who then offered us a drink whilst we completed our check in which was a lovely touch as it wasn't the normal drinks you get given on other hotel check in. We were then shortly shown to our suite which was 411 and with a lovely view of the Matterhorn. We chose to book a maisonette with a log fire with the bedroom upstairs which was perfect in every way. We had plenty of wardrobe space and a lovely size bathroom with a spa bath and a separate shower. On our first night we arrived in the evening and after we had settled in we decided we were hungry but sadly the restaurant was just about to finish serving, but Michael kindly offered to allow us to choose something off their main menus. I must say the lovely ladies who served us were so lovely and accommodating and nothing seemed to much trouble. The breakfast is always plentiful and the eggs and bacon are made to order. The hotel is very central. We would like to thank each and everyone of your wonderful staff for making our first stay with you so wonderful in every way and we promise to come back. A massive thank you from both Joy & Andrew. X
