The North Wall is a Zermatt institution. Part of the Heritage. The umbilical cord where skiers and climbers meet. I'm pretty sure that Edward Whymper only set out to climb the Matterhorn having had a pizza at the North Wall the night before... How can this be the first review?
The North Wall is a warm, friendly bar with chilled beer, lovely pizzas and nachos and an attitude that is all about making sure people have a good time. And as it is all of 90 seconds from the Paperlla Pub it is also invaluable for those apres-ski munchies. So you won't pick up a 1995 Chateau Latour (at least not when I last checked), but you will get a decent glass of wine, a cold beer, pizza, chat, more chat and somewhere nice to do all of this in. And you can also play darts.
It's not swanky. It's not expensive. It's not too cool to go and have fun in. It's a local pizza place that does what it does really well. Serves drinks, makes pizzas. (And don't forget the darts)
