We had a marvelous meal at this lovely restaurant in the Hotel Schoenegg. The dining room, sitting high above Zermatt, had an old world elegance about it. It was intimate, sophisticated, and quiet. The service was excellent. Our waiter was so attentive, friendly and helpful. We asked many questions about the menu and the wine offerings. We valued his opinion and followed his recommendations. We were not disappointed.
The food was amazing. Each course brought inventive food profiles and beautiful presentations. Our favorite was the scampi starter - not to be missed. The beef was cooked to perfection, and the unusual dessert that we shared included a shot of homemade ginger ale - unlike anything I had ever tasted. When we thought we could not eat another thing, the waiter brought us a sampling of chocolates, made in house - what a wonderful way to end an exceptional meal.
