Go there and enjoy many happy hours. Lots of stuff to see, videos to watch and games to Play. For sure a pace to come back to.

“A museum to visit in Lausanne”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 August 2014

If you have a change to visit only one museum in Lausanne, this is it. You will see the full history of the Olympic games inside, and besides that, you are in Olympic capital; you should miss its Olympic museum. Take you time inside, and enjoy!

“Worth visiting, even if you don't go in”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 August 2014 via mobile

Impressive building and great fun looking at the Olympic record exhibits outside. There a 100m sprint track you can run along and a few other things. The cafe upstairs has fantastic views. We didn't go into the museum itself but great to visit all the same.

“Perfect afternoon attraction”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 August 2014

When I arrived at the museum, I hesitated to pay the hefty entrance fee (18CHF/12CHF for sudents) but decided to go for it. Ended up spending 3.5 hours in there, absolutely entranced by the quality of the information, the depth of history presented, and the quality of the sports equipment on display. It was great to be right there with no wall between you and that token football, or ski, or ice skate. Very interactive with enough stimulation to keep anyone occupied for hours. The new layout and organization of the building was brilliantly designed. Highly recommended activity for anyone visiting Lausanne, whether you're a sports fan or not, especially on a rainy day :) What I don't recommend is going with a time limit shorter than 2 hours - there is so much to explore, you won't want to miss any of it!

“Great exprience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 August 2014

I visited the Olympic museum after renewal and was impressed the layout of the exhibition. There is so much to see on different floors so you need to take your time and study carefully. It begins on the first floor where you have a shop with t-shirts from different Olympic teams and after you can see how all started in Ancient Greece and work your way up to 21 century.
I was really pleased when I saw that Croatia is represented with three persons: Sanda Dubravčić - olympic skater (one stair), Dražen Petrović - basketball (monument) and Janica Kostelić - skiing (ski suit). It was so cool!
If you like after the tour you can sit at the top of the building and have a refreshment in their nice coffee shop with a nice view to the lake. We also had a lunch in the restaurant on the left of the coffee shop which was really good.
When in Lausanne you definitely have to visiti The Olympic Museum and visit a piece of history!
