We visited the Olympic Museum on the one really rainy day during our visit to Switzerland and really enjoyed it. The museum covers the history of the games up to the present day, explanations of how the modern games are organized and run and a great interactive section on how athletes prepare themselves. It is a very modern museum (I believe it reopened after a 2 year renovation at the end of 2013) with plenty of multimedia exhibits. We particularly enjoyed the big screen display combining TV footage from several opening ceremonies.
Fortunately for us, by the time we had finished the main exhibitions indoors (around 2 1/2 hours), the rain had stopped and we were able to enjoy the museum's gardens which overlook the Lake. The highlight there is a real 100m running track where you can compare your time over the distance with that of Usain Bolt's!
