My wife and our 6 years old kid spent 2 nights in Beau-Rivage Palace from 30.03.2012 - 01.04.2012. Thanks to the great help and assistance of Mrs Hemmeler (Public relations and communications Manager), we were lucky enough to be upgraded in the Junior Suite number 209 on 2nd floor, with full lake view and balcony. This Junior Suite was just great and beautiful, especially the bathroom with a huge bath with jaccuzzi. The outside view was just breathtaking, lake Léman and mountains, just in front of you !
Upon arrival, the bell man came immediately, took our bags and was in charge of our car in a very efficient way. There was no queue at the reception and a visit of the Palace was organised for us by the excellent, professional and smiling Mrs Vanessa-Nadège Ducoloné, whom gave us all needful informations about the Palace history and future plans of renovation. Many thanks to Mrs Hemmeler and Mrs Ducoloné for their high class attitude and professionalism. We were definitively treated as privileged guests and had this feeling to receive a personnalised service which is very important for us.
We enjoyed 3 times the SPA area, the indoor swimming pool at 28 degrees Celsius and the large jaccuzzi at 32 degrees Celsius. Unfortunately, outdoor pool was still not opened due to the early time of the year. The SPA was absolutely clean and in very good condition. Sauna, turkish bath, tropical rain shower (excellent, to be tried after sauna) was of high class. Furthermore, additional towels, water, hair spray, shampoo, body cream, etc. were available at discretion.
We went to the restaurant La Terrasse for our breakfast. The food quality, the choices available and the top class service that was provided were just great. I would like to give a special mention to Mr. Emilien for his exceptionnal attention, working attitude, high class service and top motivation in doing his job that he was showing us during our both breakfast. Those kind of staff are making the true reputation of Palaces ! Congratulations Mr. Emilien, good job ! Continue like this.

We also found out that there are actually 2 different Palaces !!! One is the Beau-Rivage (150 years old) that is the main original building and the Palace which is 100 years old and located next to the Beau-Rivage. Personnally, we prefered to stay in the Beau-Rivage, due to its location and it's view on the garden and terrace.

So, to resume our memorable stay :

Positive points :
--------------------

1) Top class service provided by highly professional and efficiant, smiling staff.
2) Very clean and silent Palace.
3) 15 beautiful roses were waiting for us upon arrival in our Junior Suite nbr 209 !!!
4) Large jaccuzzi inside the SPA area, at 32 degrees.
5) View from rooms with lake view is a must, best on balcony.
6) Personalised service.

Points to be improved :
-----------------------------

1) We did not like the fact that so many dogs were running, barking and generally speaking, accepted, without any restriction inside the Palace, garden, bar and rooms !!! For noise, kids safety and hygiene, there should be some restrictions. During our stay, we saw 2-3 dogs running totally free from any lead in the garden !!!
2) Safety speaking, anybody can come from the lake side, enter inside the garden area and then be in the Palace ! It is not safe, there should be a control of whom is coming. Are they guests, restaurants or bars clients or just curious people walking around, watching guests...?
3) The mattress of our bed was to soft.
4) Little detail, but I informed Mr. Emilien in restaurant La Terrasse that sugar should not be inserted in single piece, inside a small transparent plastic bag that you hardly can open. As per his words, he informed his Manager and they will improve soon this point, very good reaction and decision ;-).

Well, that's it. It was really a marvellous and high class stay for us. We will definitively come back to enjoy the beautiful Beau-Rivage Palace and the lake area. I will soon add some photos/videos of our stay, so you can have a clear idea of what is written in my review.

Enjoy your stay as much as we did :-)

everything in this hotel is top quality and extremely charmant. The position: looking the lake and the alps, the liberty style, and a kind of magic atmosphere.
Rooms are very well equiped, with a lot of space of very good bath accessories.
Bar, breakfast and restaurant are top quality both for service and food.
One of best room services I experienced both speed and quality.
The concierge is supporting to organize all what possible in and out the town.
There is an excellent spa (even if 4 letters to confirm a massage are a bit too many....specially when they are addressed to "monsieur Cristina"..??!!)) and I recommend the taoist massage.

Though living in the Lausanne area, I organised a little surprise for my wife, for our wedding anniversary and booked a room and a massage for her at the Beau-Rivage. It ended up being a lousy idea, as now, she'd love to spend a week every year at this beautiful property ! Excellent service, a view to die, most friendly and efficient service, a lovely spa, a buffet breakfast which was more than a great meal. My only little remark on the negative side: internet wifi access should not be a paying proposition. Will we be back ? Definitively !

Room Tip: Lake view worth the extra expense...

Dear amdemav,

Thank you very much for your positive feedback! We are glad to know that you enjoyed your stay with us and are more than happy to welcome you back at the Beau-Rivage Palace every year!
However, we would like to let you know that our guests don’t have to pay for a Wifi access in our hotel. Usually our guests receive a Wifi code during the check-in process at the reception.
We would be glad, if you could kindly let us know, why you thought that you have to pay. It would allow us to improve the communication.
We are looking forward to hopefully welcoming you back very soon!

We stayed at the Beau-Rivage Palace a few years ago, but when the hotel popped up on my Trip Advisor List, I just had to contribute a review. We have stayed all over, far and wide, and in all types of places (from "super high-end" to a "hammock on beach" ;-) and this place still stays in my mind as one of the most special. It is absolutely amazing location-wise, service-wise, amenities-wise..basically everything-wise. We went to Switzerland as guests of the Tourism Board, and they clearly consider this hotel to be the best Lausanne offers- and we agree 100%. The hotel itself has an old world elegance and charm. The grounds and views are magnificent. Impeccable service (and really, nice, kind people too). We had a huge room facing the lake - with huge windows that you could open! The bathroom was large and was better stocked than almost any other place I've stayed. The room had heated robes and chocolate covered strawberries on our arrival (not sure if that is standard, but I know they treat everyone like royalty) The restaurant was fabulous and the concierges were extremely helpful. We fell in love with this place, and will be back again someday. If you have the chance to stay here, definitely do so!

Room Tip: Of course, try to get a room with a lake view! Also, our windows opened (and were huge) and it was...

I admit I have stayed here now for four years at the time of the Geneva Motor Show but here is a good reason for that! It is a fantastic place to stay and entertain business guests. The location alongside the lake is stunning. The staff are always excellent, friendly, efficient and helpful. The food and beverage service in every outlet I have tried is of excellent quality and the rooms are just so good you don't want to leave them. I have never had anything other than praise from the guests we host here and whilst no-one could describe the Beau Rivage Palace as cheap, the hotel represents excellent value when you consider just what you get for the money. And at show time the attention we receive is better than anything I have ever experienced at the Geneva hotels who really know how to charge! The Beau Rivage Palace seems to be constantly up-grading it's facilities, so there does often seem to be a division in operation to get from one area to another - this year it was the route to the downstairs brasserie Cafe that was blocked, but it is good to see they are not sitting on their laurels but are constantly keeping this grande dame up to the mark. Special mentions to the bar staff who are excellent and the waiting staff in the Cafe who handled a big group arriving in relays with style and efficiency. I wouldn't think of going anywhere else!

Stayed at this hotel for one night and have been upgraded into a great lake view room. Staff was great, very helpful and friendly.
The room was spacious and very clean, loved the amenities and the view. Breakfast is definitely worth paying for. Incredible service and a large choice of dishes, with an amazing view on lake Geneva.
I was expecting a lot from the SPA but was not amazed. Very standard for a 5 star Palace Hotel nothing crazy, although the service was here, again, just perfect!

Room Tip: Try to get a room with lake view

Vacation in May. An excellent, respectable hotel on the shores of Lake Geneva, is located in the heart. A cozy lounge with a small fountain, where you can drink coffee and admire the beautiful sky (glass ceiling). The rooms are spacious, the furniture, though, in the Baroque style, such a antiques. The restaurant plays the piano a wonderful woman who knows a couple of Russian songs ("Dark Eyes" in English "longitudinal road ..."). Food is very good, but the range of low-key. Service without flaws. I advise everyone.
