Just had a wonderful 4 days at this beautiful hotel. Right on the lakeside, the views are terrific, the food is great and the cocktails even better. We stayed in a junior suite, perfect for us and 2 chidlren - lots of space. It's a quick hop on the metro to the old town of Lausanne, but there's plenty to do also on the lake front - the Olympic Museum (definitely worth a visit, for all ages), pedaloes, and just strolling along with everyone else in Lausanne, it would seem! My only niggle was that their pool was closed for cleaning, so we had to go to the Lausanne Palace and Spa in the town centre to swim. It's only 5 stops on the metro, and is an experience in itself, though.

Room Tip: Rooms that face away from the harbour are probably quieter.

This hotel is in a very quiet location overlooking Lake Geneva. It is excellent for accessing the Metro line as this is only across the road. The room we stayed in was comfortable and very clean. The weather was kind so we ate breakfast outside. The breakfast is extra but was very good. The views from the lake view bedroom was fabulous. There are plenty of eating places should you not want to eat in the hotel. Access to everywhere else is only three stops on the Metro to Lausanne Gare. The hotel give you a Metro pass for the duration of the stay so you can get around the locality easily and for free. Check the areas you can go as not all areas are free. Another tip, if you can afford it get the train to Montreux and go on the Golden Pass line. It's wonderfully scenic. The free hotel wi-fi took a day to kick in but then we were up and running. We will definitely return sooner rather than later. We stopped off in Geneva on the way home and I was so pleased I had chosen this hotel in preference to the ones I had been looking at. If you want calm and comfort then this is the place to go

Room Tip: Get a room with a view, it's worth it

Le Chateau d'Ouchy is located in a perfect location - at the edge of Lake Geneva with views of the Alps. Originally a 12th century medieval castle, it is now a beautiful, modern, classy hotel. The rooms are very large with wonderful views. Very highly recommended!

This hotel remains a favorite. Beautiful room, clean, brilliant service, a reasonable price. This time I tried the restaurant too good food, nice wines, excellent service, expensive, but it added to the fun, as did a splendid drink at the bar! Really sorry I only come to Lausanne every second year to enjoy it

This hotel is absolutely beautiful. Our room was large with a very comfortable bed and great shower. The hotel pays attention to the little details. However, it was also very expensive. Not that you are staying in a hotel to watch TV, but sometimes it's nice to relax with a movie at the end of the day. Movies cost 15 francs, which I thought too much. Location was great for walking by the lake.
