I have been twice and was impressed on both occasions. The preparations are impeccable. Ingredients fresh and well chosen. I truly love that there is no artifice in Bovier's cooking. He knows enough to let the ingredients shine through and do the talking. I cannot say that this is the best in Lausanne, as Violier takes that honor in Crissier. But Table d'Edgard is wonderful and fully merits its one Michelin star.

High class restaurant and fine cuisine in one if the best luxury Palaces in Switzerland. The Chef, Edgar, is a master of combining local terroir Swiss food with French cuisine. Wine list could offer some better choice if fine Bordeaux... but overall experience is worth it. Highly recommended

We had a very big nice table for the 4 of us ! Very nice white wines for aperitiv, we were able to try them all before we ordered. Perfect read meat good fish mediteranian style. I loved the ambiance and especially the deserts. A compliment to the patissière ! There is an open kitchen you can look in but I prefere a table at the window !

La Table d'Edgar is situated in the Lausanne Palace Hotel but this is no ordinary restaurant!
The dining room has views into the kitchen on teh one side and teh lake on the other! Edgard Bovier is popular with the locals and my discerning guest who was a resident of Lausanne eats here regularly! Dinner was a definite Michelin star experience with good quality food which challenged the taste buds. Wine list is extensive but hold on to your wallet!
Would return next time I am in the city.

The Restaurant "La Table d'Edgard" is located within the Lausanne Palace Hotel.
We reserved the "table d'hôtes", meaning you have a very private, secluded dinning room with a direct view into the kitchen. This is a unique opportunity to see how a top rated kitchen brigade works under pressure when orders are flowing in. The chef Edgard Bovier is an experienced professional with several restaurants under his responsibility. The brigade, eventhough young in average empresses by there individual carrier path. Very attentive and dedicated service. The restaurant itself has a wonderful view over town down to the lac.
We had a lunch menu surprise and from the amuse-bouches to the desert is was just divine, with a special mention for the the fish dish. Every service comes with its own glass of wine, which in itself is a discovery. The cuisine is light and Mediterranean. Products used from top quality and freshness as you can expect from a restaurant of this class. We can highly recommend and will definitively return.

Room Tip: We have not stayed at the hotel.
