There are only 2 good things here. The view and the cleaning. The wi-fi worked terrible for the first day we arrived and the next day it totally died. Breakfast is poor and not tasty at all. The bathroom is very old and need to be repaired. People at the reception are not even try to solve any problems. Walls in the room are so thing that we can hear our neighbors every day and night.

The views are great but the hotel is tired. 30 years ago it would have been great.

Have to say swimming pool is excellent.

Breakfast less so.

Seems like they rely on one time visitors.

Really got the Overlook hotel vibe.

Wifi was very fast but t gad to reconnect all the time

It clearly is an older hotel, but our room had been renovated and was modern and up-to-date in all aspects except the grand old style of an actual metal room key that needed to be turned in each time when leaving the hotel. We had a lakefront room with a lovely balcony and a view to die for. While the room was somewhat small, the bathroom was large, and the air conditioning was the best we have encountered in traveling through Europe in the last two years. Breakfast was included in our booking and able to accomodate a wide variety of tastes, and was served in a room with beautiful lake views. The location was good, directly on the beautiful lakefront promenade, and an easy stroll to the Montreux Jazz Festival, and about a 5 minute walk to a bus stop. The staff was friendly and accomodating. We loved our stay and would return again. My sole complaint was the WIFI system - while signal strength was good, if your phone or laptop went into rest mode, you were logged off and had to log back on again. The desk staff said it was for security purposes, but as a user, it was incredibly frustrating.

Room tip: ask for a room with a full balcony

Pretty good location & the saving grace is the most beautiful views! The breakfast that was included was good & the coffee was amazing!!

Pictures from the hotel website were misleading as we booked the spacious family suite thinking there was a balcony & there wasn't one, so that was disappointing. When we checked in, they tried to give us a smaller room (& told us it was bigger!) than what we had booked but I knew right away once we saw it, that wasn't what we had booked. I had printed all the booking confirmations, so they ended us giving us the right room after I had to ask. Also misleading from the pictures is the pool is in an apartment building beside the hotel that you can use.

The bed was as hard as a rock so I slept on the more comfortable cot & my son slept in the bed. The Wi-Fi was terrible, it would always time you out so you constantly had to sign back in so that was annoying, especially if you were working on something. Bathrooms were nice and clean.

Street parking was fine but certainly no one to help with your bags!

Room tip: Confirm what you want for your room, don't depend on the pictures

We loved this hotel. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. The view of the Lake of Geneva is stunning. It’s close to the centre but very quiet, and there is a beautiful path along the lake, full of flowers.
