For some 65 CHF (5 CHF for car park included), a very comfortable stay and a good starting point to visit Schaffhausen, the Rhine Falls, Konstanz and Stein am Rhein. Even Zurich if you want. Winterthur itself is an ordinary town, not worth more than an hour visiting, but I knew that. I only came for the price (special offer on a Friday) and the bed, huge and provided with thick hard mattress and a second soft layer on top, which gives that extra comfort. Don´t expect hot dishes for the breakfast buffet, but good enough for 15 CHF, instead of the usual 25-39 CHF in swiss hotels. Several fast food restaurants in the surroundings, if you feel like it.
