“Good fondue”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 July 2014 via mobile

First off, I had no idea Fondue was Swiss in origin. This restaurant was recommended to us by the gentleman working the front desk. He mentioned it was less touristy and more of a locals hangout. The establishment was small and intimate. The service was very attentive and the cheese fondue was amazing. Good experience. Pricy compared to the United States, but it seems everything here is.

“Basic raclette experience”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 June 2014

This restaurant specializes in fondue (e.g., moitie-moitie) and raclette. We came here for something typically Swiss and went with the raclette for a table of six. They use the traditional method of scrapping it off a giant half round of cheese but do this in the kitchen, bringing out fresh plates for continuous "refills"; it would have been a nice treat to receive this service at the table or at least in view of the patrons. The accompanying ingredients were the basic minimums, including a basket of small tasty potatoes, and servings of cornichons and small round onions. They also included baby corns. There was no bread and no meats (e.g., cured pork, beef..). The cheese itself was absolutely delicious and came out with nice crusty cooked bits. The raclette was about 40 CHF per person. We also had some nice white wine from the canton of Vaud - Aigle Les Murailles - but at 50 CHF/bottle, it was quite a price markup. Perhaps this is not a family restaurant destination - as the night progressed, we had a continuous parade of prostitutes outside the restaurant window. The patrons at this restaurant all appeared to be tourists. Good cheese and wine but would look elsewhere next time.

“Excellent Fondue & Raclette”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 June 2014

We really enjoyed our experience in this restaurant. The food was nice, as was the decor. We took half & half fondue and "all you can eat" raclette. The only cons was that the raclette was not served with an heater but was heated in the kitchen. So you only receive a peace of melt cheese on a plate and the waiter have to regulary change your plate to bring you more. However, it was really good and we ate so much! The price was O.K. given that we were in Switzerland. We surely recommend this restaurant.

“Best fondue”

My favourite place for fondue...small restaurant, they basically only serve fondue, warm atmosphere, waiters always very friendly and fondue tastes awesome! Remember to reserve a table, especially if you wish going in the weekend!

“Fantastic fondue!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 May 2014

Very welcoming and helpful waitress and delicious fondue. We had two different fondues - one without wine and Kirsch, which was really tasty, and the other with wine and Kirsch, also delicious but quite different, with obviously plenty of both wine and Kirsch. Just the perfect amount too with lovely crusty bread and perfectly cooked baby potatoes. We then had to find room for the seasonal dessert, which was lovely chestnut ice cream with amaretto (again very generous with the amaretto). The waitress was very thoughtful and suggested two spoons :) She was so kind in helping us in and out with my husband's small mobility scooter. We were also given plenty of time to enjoy our meal at our leisure which made it a nice relaxing evening. Very friendly and delicious.
