It' s a luxury place for window shopping but it's barely possible to find a good deal to buy!!! I liked the collection of famous watch brands there. This street connects main train station to the lake where you could ride on excursion boats ( free with Zurich card) to visit nice scenery around...

“Great for Window Shopping”
Reviewed 27 April 2014

For the affluent, shopping on the Bahnhoffstrasse is excellent. It is a lovely stroll where you can shop for the top designer names such as Prada and Hermes, buy jewelry at Van Cleef and Arpels, and find the luxury watch of your dreams whether Rolex, Breitling, IWC, Patek Phillipe or Hublot. Even for those that are not among the multimillionaires, window shopping is quite pleasant and chocolate stores such as Laderach and Sprungli allow for a taste of luxury.

“great shopping”
Reviewed 23 April 2014

You will find everything here. High end shopping, people watch, great restaurants and cafes, and of course Sprungli the best chocolate maker in Zurich!

“Ok Ok”
Reviewed 21 April 2014

We reached Bahnofstrasse at around 8pm, the streets were empty, the stores were lit but empty yet again. That's when we realised what time it was & that the entire area is shut. It was a shock for us hailing from Dubai, a city that almost never sleeps, not this early anyway. We did walk around since the stores were lit & many major brands were featured in this area. I would probably have rated it batter we been there when the street was alive.

“Center of everything”
Reviewed 20 April 2014

During my month stay in Zurich, the area around Zurich HB became my "hub" train travel was made very easily from this point, many trams made their transfers here, it was right near the downtown shopping area and division between new and old town. Everything I just mentioned is reachable in the matter of 5-10 min in either direction. There is the big CoOp grocery store with a large variety of ready made lunch dishes and sometimes the train station itself has festivals and stalls, the one I visited being foodies stalls from all around the world. In the train station you will also find the tourist information center and down one floor the kiosk for buying longer time tickets for the multi-mode transportation. When you buy a tram pass, this also allows you to go on all trains within the given region, busses and ferry boats. Check the "zone" because there might be a supplemental charge for going further out of the city (still not as much as the cost of a normal trip)

I enjoyed browsing this area. For cheaper eats go further in to town on either direction, I favored the old town because of the pedestrianized areas and cobblestone mazes.
