Owner description: One of the oldest churches in the city, this cathedral is best known for having the largest clock face in Europe.

This church is the oldest in switzerland. It has a very beautiful clock tower, with a huge clock on its face, which works with swiss precision. It is really symbolic of Switzerland. The interior is spartan, but feels full of history. Very charming and swiss!

It's the clock face that stands out as it is said to be the largest Church clock face in Europe. Inside, the church is relatively humble however it is still worth a 10 -15 minute visit.

It's supposed to be the largest clock face in Europe. Since I didn't measure it, I will accept the statement as a fact. Interesting church and worth a visit. It took the 3 of us about 15 minutes to look around. We enjoyed it.

apparently this church tower has the largest clock-face in the world! there is nothing much extraordinary about the interiors or the exterior, given the the Grossmunster and Fraumunster are within a stone's throw from Peterskirche. Though the steep-sloped green spire makes this church strikingly visible from both sides of the limmat river and from Bahnhofstrasse as well.
