I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights because my usual hotel was overbooked, this hotel is as basic as it gets, it feels more like a dormitory then a hotel with limited and old furnishings, however it was clean and had a comfortable bed and good WIFI and it is as cheap as it gets in Zurich, so if you are looking for a very basic bed and breakfast this is the place, it is also a little out of the way with limited access to transportation

Also beware that the hotel is not staffed between the hours of 10PM and 6AM

We stayed here when it was the Atlantis Guesthouse in 2011 and chose specifically to come back on our next visit to Switzerland in 2014. Don't expect to be right in the heart of the city but Zurich is very expensive so this is a good way of keeping the prices more reasonable. It is located right alongside Triemli station so only a ten minute trip to the main station and with trains running every 15 minutes it's not a problem.

The best thing about this place is the breakfast - it's got fantastic crusty bread, hams and cheeses and a lovely man who made us cappuccinos. He should be thanked as he was always lovely and attentive - service with a smile. Aside from that the Guest House has everything you need.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it having stayed here twice - I certainly wouldn't choose to spend any more when the Guest House is a great choice.

NOT on the Sheraton Atlantis property - that is now a student residence. This is on the street down the hill from there. I know because I drove to the Sheraton and it was all dumpy now, like at typical student building.

As you may already know if you're looking at Zurich hotels, it's a pricey place to stay.

This place is out of the way (not in the town centre at all) and kinda in a funny area - apartments and townhouses around it. But it's somewhat reasonable price wise. Breakfast is good, rooms are decent, not great. Staff were nice.

But the problem here is that it's a good 9 tram stops from the centre of town. And if you walk back from the tram at night, it's dark all the way, not well lit at all. I had no reason to feel unsafe, but in an unfamiliar place it's not super fun to take a tram from a busy part of town to a part of town that is quiet and dark and then have to walk dark pathways to your hotel. The hotel's location is just somewhat odd for people who are tourists. But I guess that's what you get for trying to save money.

Zurich is a funny place in general. It's very expensive to stay in the old town, but the city itself just isn't all that great. You've got Lucerne and Interlaken not too far away, and both are way more scenic. Zurich is pretty and the old town is cool, but other European cities have all that (Munich, Prague, Innsbruck, etc) So really, the expensive places in Zurich old town aren't worth the money and the cheap-ish place way down the tram line isn't worth it either.

I guess what I'm trying to say is just go to a different city...

Room Tip: Just don't stay in Zurich. Go to Lucerne or Interlaken, because Geneva, Berne, and Zurich just...

From the moment we stepping in the door the reception staff were extremely welcoming, kind and friendly. Our room was somewhat spacious, shower was good and bed was super comfortable! It was a short 2 minute walk to the train station where Zurich Bahnhofplatz was only a 15 minute train away. Breakfast had good variety and again the breakfast staff was very friendly and spoke great English. This was a great stay and very great value for money

Fantastic little place just out of the city. The train station is a 1 minute walk from the hotel and it takes under 15 minutes to get into the city. Price was fantastic and rooms are very comfortable. Tea and coffee in the rooms with a kettle and fridge. Great for backpackers. Could not be happier with this place!

Not too easy to find behind the huge Triemli hospital , the hotel is well located for joggers under a lovely mountain with clean air and very close to a verg good restaurant called obers Triemli , typical Swiss country cuisine . The only moan I can think of is slightly dodgy wifi but the room was spacious and I intend to return

Zurich is a very expensive city, so this hotel represents really good value if you are willing to stay outside the CBD but still within close proximity. It is centrally located - catch the tram from the main train station via the S10 line to Triemli, and it's an easy, flat 2 minute walk with suitcases (the transport is available regularly until late at night, and it's in the same zone as the CBD area so tickets are reasonable). The staff were helpful and friendly, and there is a decent & hearty breakfast included in the room rate. Small details like access to fast wi fi and complementary use of a printer and public access computer at the hotel were very useful, and the room was clean and comfortable. Some common areas (e.g. hallways) smelt a little of cigarette smoke, and the only drawback for us was that the cleaners started relatively early in the morning (vacuuming around 9am!). We would stay here again as it's really convenient and represents very good value for Zurich accommodation.

Room Tip: There's a lift, so any floor would be fine, with security access provided by reception with a co...
