Go have a Bratwurst, spicy mustard and a Bürli (peasant bread roll, tough crust, often burnt, heavy doughy bread - awesome).
The only thing that has changed is price.
Read the board before you order, help yourself to bread and mustard as they won't be offered. Don't eat the fries!

If you want to eat as Zurichers eat, this appears to be the place. Locals far outnumbered tourists on our recent visits here, and that's not surprising. The food--bratwurst, etc--is authentic and tasty, and the atmosphere real. Definitely recommended!

The Sternen Grill in Bellevue has a very popular Take Away at street level, with seating on the terrace and great views, while upstairs there is a restaurant. Whether you are looking to grab a quick bite to eat or enjoy a more leisurely moment with friends, this is the place to come — and we do more than sausages, including a vegetarian selection.

I had Meal #1 while I was here: it consisted of bread (Gold Bürli), sausage (Salsiccia) and potato salad. The wurst was definitely a must have - it was juicy and decadent. They have many varieties to suit different tastes people have. There was limited seating when we went at 7PM on a Friday - as expected but there are a bunch of standing tables and smaller tables to the side. They have a bar that is attached as well.
The line moves pretty fast: I didn't see an English menu while I was there but Google Translate is a wonderful companion and the workers all were bilingual so there was no issue.

Sternen Grill on Bellevue in Zurich has a Take Away at street level and a restaurant upstairs, and we are very popular, especially on a Friday night. But, as you say, the service is fast and friendly and within no time you are enjoying a perfectly grilled sausage and maybe a great craft beer.

I know this is switzerland and everything is way more expensive here and while this place isn’t expensive compared to many other restaurants in Zurich, I still felt like the sausage was overpriced. It tasted good but I definitely don’t think a any small sausage link is close to being worth 7 franc but that’s just me.

The Sternen Grill at Bellevue is legendary for its perfectly grilled sausages, whether it is our bratwurst, servelat, schweinszwicker, salsiccia piccante, or the currywurst you won't find any better prepared than here. We use only top-grade Swiss meat and all our items are prepared fresh daily. (We do also serve more than sausages, including vegetarian dishes.)
You can either settle in the restaurant upstairs or order at the Take Away and eat on the terrace while watching the world go by. Both are open all day and every day.
